Big Knob to Control Output 1 (Using Axe FX 3 as an Interface)

Guys,

I am switching from my Motu 828mk3 to just the Axe FX 3 for my interface to simplify things and plus I think it is superior.

Anyhow, my axe fx is at the end of my desk and I need to use the output 1 knob to increase/decrease volume.

Have any of you hooked up a big knob to the midi ports to control Output 1 with a big knob near your keyboard for convience?

If so, which did you use and how would you configure?

Or literally any way to control from the keyboard.... or mouse.... third party apps....etc.

I believe, you could attach it to one of the expression pedal jacks and control Out 1 level like that. They also have a version with two knobs - I don't know if this would be handy for you.
