Morningstar MC6 MkII: Any fun ideas with the FM9?

I was wondering the same thing. You could probably do something cool with the Midi CC waveform. Overall, I don’t think it would be very necessary unless you kept the FM9 in a rack on stage.

I own one of the best guitar modeling/FX units - The Axe FX 2, but still get GAS...

I always fall into this every now and then as well. Each time I go and plug into an amp that I am after, I am reminded of the flexibility of the Axe FX and usually can get the exact tone I'm hearing.

Setting output volume on Axe & Matrix GT1000??

Best Wah pedal for Axe...

I use the EP-1 with the spring load option. Works great! When I step on it, it engages the wah and when it's back to 0, it's off. They are built really well and they are great people to deal with.

Total newb...why should I buy Axe FX II?

I've had most of these amps as well. I now just use the Axe II and haven't looked back. I can achieve those tones plus many more with the value knob. Check the clips section and youtube and let that do the persuading.

How much improvement is 10 for you?

I noticed a big improvement in feel. V9 felt great but v10 feels "real". Love the new IR's as well.

Quick Tone Match Question

Hey guys, Just sold the Ultra recently and trying out the II and Tone Matching. I have a stereo file loaded in PT but the guitar I am TM'ng is on the left channel. Does the Tone Match feed need to be a full mono or full stereo signal to work precisely? EDIT: Sorry, posted in the wrong forum...

Can AXE FXII do good vintage amp?

Can you share your patch? Paul has used a Mesa racktifier for most of btbam's career and that's the tone you probably hear on the records.

Has anyone had good results with an analog delay out of the Ultra? I am trying to achieve something similar to the Carbon Copy or a Memory Man but I'm having a bit of trouble.

Axe + Poweramp + CAB (real)

Try using the global EQ, it helps a ton. Adjust the power amp sim on or off depending on how much your actual power amp colors the tone. I've noticed with most solid state power amps, it sounds best on. When I run it through my Mesa power amp, it sounds best off.

Axe fx is dead?

I am pretty content with the last update to the Ultra/STD. There is plenty to keep me occupied for a while if I am in the mood for tweaking. I suggest you sell the Ultra and save a few bucks for the II if you want a machine that will be updated constantly.
