A Marshall sim that stays clean

I have an old JCM800 with a low and high input. Iloved the sound of the low input. I found the same thing as other said here. Turning down the input trim to .5 emualted the low input nicely. I use the input trim on some of the Class A type amps to reign them in a bit as well.

Axe-Fx III MKII vs Axe-Fx III MKII Turbo

Yes, I am not running up against CPU limitations on my Kitchen Sink ambient presets. And the extra cpu is nice when you are using the FullRes IRs. But they sound the same, turbo or non.

    A Difference between 16.05 ...And 17.02 .... An Explanation ???

It doesn't do anything here. Changing the level while bypassed doesn't do anything here. I even took the level from -20 to 20, no difference. Now when my bypass mode is set to mute fx out and my mix is less than 100% it does, but that is expected behavior.

Wish Allow controller assign for Chorus Delay time.

That is how a chorus works. Delay time is modulated by an LFO. The delay time on the Axe-fx sets the minimum delay time, The depth the amount of difference between the min and maximum delay (higher depth = greater max delay). For more precise control over the depth of the delay set the auto...

From Leon Todds Cave: Boss CE-1, ADA MP-1 Chorus & Eventide micropitch

More like a ring mod and drive. The intermodulation when you push the preamp goes into ring mod territory :). Crank the preamp and play root and Maj7th interval (chorus off), neck pickup. Then slowly bend the M7 to the tonic.

Parallel chain with shunt adds gain ?

If you are talking about just one effect in parallel , they can sound exactly the same whether in series or parallel. Rather than rehash the discussion, you can read why and how here: https://forum.fractalaudio.com/threads/reverb-in-serial-vs-parallel.175082/#post-2123636

Parallel chain with shunt adds gain ?

You can also just increase the input trim, or use the input boost for preamp boost, for postamp you can just use the level on the amp. You attach the levels to a control, pedal, or external switch for toggling.
  11. javajunkie

Parallel chain with shunt adds gain ?

You can also use a multiplexer block that way only one patch is active at a time. If you want to run them in parallel at the same time you can use a mixer block.

    Yamaha SPX90 Symphonic + Pitch B & C

Sounds sweet. Awesome job. Is there any particular reason you used the Dual Chromatic for the pitch instead of the detune. You have tracking off and are not using any of the parameters that are not available in the detune? The detune sounds virtually identical and save a little cpu.

With the 1210, it really depends what you are trying to do. It has a lot of features as a chorus, flanger, and enhancer. It is basically 2 chorus/flangers that can interact with each other. There are some presets out there that capture particular settings. Either using a dual chorus or...

I would not use the humbuster cable for the wireless to Axe-fx input. As has been said, it is not designed for that. Just use a decent quality unbalanced cable for that. Don't need three amp set up, but for freeing up cpu for drives, plex delay, and pitch shifter. The FM3 will take up smaller space than what I would put in its place. The fm9 and fm3 will all be controlled with a midi controller, so it should be easy to manage.

  61. javajunkie

    FM9 CPU Utilization Question

The Plex delay definitely is not on the dedicated delay core. It consumes quite a bit of processing power, especially when set to Plex Delay. Delays hardly add any thing, Reverbs hardly add anything (doesn't atter in if you set to ultra high or economy - the dsp meter does not significantly...

How to change the Input source of Controllers according to the active physical Input ?

Yeah, this doesn't seem possible with one button on the FC-6/12 at this time. There would need to be a away to link 2 channel changes to one button (or something similar). How to change the Input source of Controllers according to the active physical Input ?

I'll have to read up on the current capabilities of the FC12, maybe there is an easy to group 2 channel changes with one button. At some point, I am going to get and FC12 so I can better help others with it.

How to change the Input source of Controllers according to the active physical Input ?

MIDI Sysex format for channel change: SET/GET CHANNEL (COMMAND 0BH) Sets and/or gets the channel of an effect. Message format: F0 00 01 74 10 0B id id dd cs F7. id id is the effect ID as two 7-bit MIDI bytes, LS first. dd is the channel (0 – 3). To query set dd = 7F The id on the Controller = 2
  82. javajunkie

How to change the Input source of Controllers according to the active physical Input ?

I can on my RJM Mastermind (I just tried it). It might take a system exclusive on another controller but The third party MIDI spec document gives commands for it. I can also change the channel of the multiplexer with it.
  83. javajunkie

How to change the Input source of Controllers according to the active physical Input ?

Just a FYI (in case you don't know), Every channel will have unique setting for ALL the controllers settings. So you would want to copy channel A to channel B before you make the input change.
  84. javajunkie

How to change the Input source of Controllers according to the active physical Input ?

Sorry, reread the original post. It a one button solution for doing both. Idea: MIDI controller send command to toggle channels of multiplexer and channels of controller. Would that work (I do not know what you are using to control the Axe-fx III)?
  85. javajunkie

How to change the Input source of Controllers according to the active physical Input ?

My wireless units are silent when you turn them off and on. Not necessarily, on additional space with A/B. They can be light and small. I mounted mine on the vertical walls of the rack. But to your point, if you already have a wireless solution in place, the above may not be a viable solution.
  86. javajunkie

How to change the Input source of Controllers according to the active physical Input ?

I use a midi controlled single mutil-channel receiver and and switch from it. Prior to that, I used a MIDI controlled A/B switch. That being said, couldn't you use Channels in the Controller section and switch the input sources of Pitch, ADSR, and Envelopes to the needed input? Edit- missed...
