Axe-Fx III Firmware Release Version 17.00 Public Beta

Yeah, I admit I made a preset shut down its output against things I did, a couple times, but at least nothing caught on fire….
Good times!

In a previous FW, I remember that feeling in the pit of my stomach with the 5150 Block when I tweaked a few parameters and inadvertently turned it into a square wave generator.

There seemed something wrong about making that happen.

I have to say, the thing I've liked most is the double-click of the Edit button to move backward on the grid. I think Axe-Edit is great, especially for the copy / paste functions, but just for setting knobs or EQ sliders, for some reason the hardware just feels so much better; maybe more intuitive. My touchpad sucks, so maybe that's the real reason haha.

I suspect I started programming before you, with assembler also, and remember getting my first debugger and thinking this is the coolest thing ever, then getting a disassembler and going after the ROMs in my old Radio Shack Color Computer then becoming a pirate... err... "hacker". I was the "go ask" guy if someone didn't know how to do something throughout my career. And I feel ignorant when reading your tech notes.

But, hey, I'm retired and don't have to care anymore. :)

You could give a hand to the millennials at NASA. They had to call the retired engineers to activate the backup system of the Hubble when one of its computers failed :D
