Latency compensation and recording via USB

So if I have firmware ARES 2.0 I shouldn't be experiencing this? If so is there a reason my DI signal is not lining up with the wet signal when I record to a DAW using USB?

Latency compensation and recording via USB

I know there has been discussions on this in the past, but I also know things of this nature change with software updates and such and I am just not up to date with where we're at so can somebody explain to me if there is still issues with correct latency compensation when recording the AXE FX...

DI track not time aligned with processed track when recording into DAW

It seems to be around 40ms from what I can tell But are you using the analogue outputs on the AXE FX? That's not how I am recording I am going straight from USB. Here is a picture showing the waves. The top track is the DI signal the bottom one is the processed signal.

DI track not time aligned with processed track when recording into DAW

Just a quick question. I am noticing that the when I record with the AXE FX (II mark 2) using the Axe FX as an interface and recording through USB, the DI track is always lagging behind the processed track. It seems that the DAW (Reaper in this case) is compensating for latency with the...

Please help! Expression pedal not working :(

Another thing to add is that when I use the exact same method with my DAW to change scenes on the AXE FX it works. I do this by sending CC# 34 with a value of 0-7 to change between scenes 1 to 8. So the communication between DAW and Axe FX is working but for some reason I can't toggle the...

Please help! Expression pedal not working :(

No. The CC# are being sent through an Expert Sleepers USAMO unit (https://www.expert-sleepers.co.uk/usamo.html), then going through a MOTU Midi Express XT (https://motu.com/products/midi/xpressxt_usb) and then via a MIDI cable to the MIDI input of the AXE FX. I confirm that the AXE FX IS...

Please help! Expression pedal not working :(

Does the fact that my MFC is still attached mean that it could be doing something to prevent the DAW from controlling the AXE FX?

Please help! Expression pedal not working :(

Definitely using delay 1 and the MIDI channels match. Both the AXE FX and the CC message being sent are on channel 15.

Please help! Expression pedal not working :(

Oh wow thanks so much that was it. I had changed the CC# coming from the pedal when I was using it with my live rig and had completely forgotten about it, I changed the corresponding controller CC# on the AXE FX and it worked... Now just one more question. I am trying to turn certain fx blocks...

Please help! Expression pedal not working :(

Hi everyone, I have come across a little issue that is doing my head in. I have an MFC 101 MKII which I use both as a generic MIDI controller to controll my live (non-axe fx) rig and as a dedicated controller for my AXE FX II MK II in the studio. I also use a Mission Engineering XP pedal for...

    Recording wet/dry signal with spdif?

    Bingo, that's what it was.

    Recording wet/dry signal with spdif?

I am also finding that the AXE FX is crackly through S/PDIF whereas I get no crackling noises when monitoring through analogue or recording through USB. The crackling sound definitely is there and gets recorded along with any audio I record. Anyone know why this might be happening?

    Recording wet/dry signal with spdif?

Apologies for resurrecting an old threat, but can somebody confirm if the DI signal you get through this method (using 1 side of the S/PDIF stereo connection) is the same in terms of signal quality as the one you would get by using output 3/4 through the USB connection? My understanding is the...

Recording DI and wet signal through SPDIF possible?

So is it possible to record both the DI signal and the wet signal using the SPDIF connection? I know that the SPDIF connection gives 2 channels of audio, one left and one right, is there a way to pan the wet signal to one side and the DI signal to the otherside and then select the corresponding...
