Any tips on how to approach something like Carl Martin Andy Timmons compressor with this update? I know how he's using it in general (more like a boost with light compression) but not sure what's the type of compressor, how attack\release should behave, etc

A short compressors test I recorded before and just after installing firmware 28 beta 3. Firmware 27 is the "old" compressors, firmware 28 the new ones. I recorded that with a private beta, not the latest public one ; this was just a quick exploration of the new models, I have yet to set on specific settings for each model I'm going to use !
Everything was recorded with a dry track, with some licks from a bridge humbucker, then humbucker + middle single coil on my Strat-type Tom Anderson guitar.
0:00 No compression, humbucker
0:13 No compression, single coils
0:31 Fw 27 Pedal Comp
21:02 Fw 27 Studio FF Comp
1:33 Fw 27 Dynami-Comp
2:04 Fw 28 Dynami-Comp
2:32 Fw 28 Optical Comp
3:06 Fw 28 Modern VCA Comp
3:37 Fw 28 Rockguy Comp
4:08 Fw 28 JFET Studio Comp

How do the new Classic VCA, Modern VCA relate to the previous compressor types? Or are they new types?

I think I have found a bug with the new Dyami-Comp models.
This can be recreated with a new preset with only an Input Block, Comp Block and Output Block.

Best way I can explain is when switching between channels in the Comp Block, if there is a Dynami-Comp type in there the volume jumps up or down depending on the compression level, but at a level it isn't actually set or saved to.

Say you are using channel A with Dynami-Comp-Classic selected and then you switch to another channel, lets say channel B with another instance Dynami-Comp-Classic or any other Dynami-Comp type, the volume may now be much louder or quieter than you previously set or saved that channel to.
The graph in Axe Edit also shows this. If you now click on the same channel selector letter in Axe Edit (we are on channel B, click B again) you see the graph line revert to the position it should be to correspond with the settings and also the volume return to the level it was also supposed to be set or saved at.

This can also be triggered by clicking on the active Comp Block on the grid in Axe Edit after selecting a channel with a Dynami-Comp type present, the volume will revert to what should be the correct set or saved level

I have firmware 28.0 Beta 4 installed and the correct Beta version of Axe Edit (1.14.10) installed to match.
This is an issue with Axe-Edit. Use the front panel to change channels for now.

Cliff still need to figure out the Rockman chorus to nail the "sound".

The Rockguy compressor is super impressive 😎

I would assume we can try all the offerings we have now in Chorus selections ?

I was doing some solos along with Def L and I couldn't tell if it was me or Phil 👍

I only use headphones with a ton of effects before the AXE III - so its quite subjective to someone else on Their AXE
