5150 build.

The fingerboard is mostly like it because it’s half scraped off lacquer on the clean bits.
How does that work? I get that the finish somehow got scraped off in spots, but the rest of the fingerboard looks like it was played for 30 years and never wiped clean.

The neck is a badly converted esp Strat neck that arrived at Kramer with finish . The back was sanded ( hence to off shape) and Ed tried to scratch of the finish on the fingerboard with a single sided razor. The guitar is 3 1/2 years old in that set of pictures. It’s reliced imo . Frankie neck is nothing like that dirty;

How is that even possible. ?

Think it was intentional relic-ing?

...half the paint was sanded off the back.
There’s a tricky detail. You’ve got the shape of that so well executed, but how do you mitigate that exposed-yesterday look to get to that exposed-a-few-years-ago look?

Who else wants an AE build after this thread just to own an incredibly honed instrument? Damn.
Been on my blue-sky-wish list for quite a while. I would seriously love to sit down with him, figure out the right parts and design for what's in my head, have him do it up. I wish.
