Rocktron Velocity 120/150 vs. Velocity 300 (new version) - definition control

FYI, Both knobs at 12 noon does not equal flat response. The Rocktron manual states that the Definition control set at zero is flat. I'm not sure where the Reactance control should be set to equal flat. Both are very effective controls. I keep my Reactance control at about 3 and my Definition...

Has anyone tried RCF ART Series 312A Powered Speakers (for FRFR)?

I'm surprised to hear that, actually. You must be in need of some ear-splitting power. My single RCF beat out both the PRX612M (1000w) and Mackie HD1221 (1300W) for usable power before speaker flub. At that point it was beyond loud. Easily kept up with a 4x12 of my band mate's.

Quick FRFR Shootout - JBL PRX612M vs RCF ART 312-A

Just a quick update. I had to return the Mackie. It lost out to the RCF. I found the Mackie to be lacking in midrange clarity. It was warm sounding and pretty darn loud, but the RCF kicked its butt in the clarity and flat response catagory. This RCF is a really good bang for the buck speaker...

Yes, I used to frequent the Bogner forum for both of my Shivas and for my '02 101B. All three are long gone now, but I still Love the bogner sound! I seem to be getting it with the Axe-Fx.

I've owned the RCF for a little over a month. I really like it. It seems very accurate to me and is very loud. It also has a nice hi-fi character to it. Clean and smooth sounding. I really do like this cab, but I'm looking at some of the other wood cabs just to make sure I'm not missing out on...

SO, if that is the case, how do you go about getting sound? I've tried several of Yek's patches using Axe Edit to load them. I'll delete wahs and volume pedals and shunt it all together and still not get any sound to come out.

Mackie (HD series) and JBL (PRX6 Series) are in the K series range using Birch and Poplar wood. I wonder why Yamaha did not choose to go that way too. From what I've read, MDF is ideal for getting the least amount of resonance, but I would be choosing a wood cab for a bit of that wood character...

For gigs, I plan to set the output to Sum L>R, use XLR Output 1 Left to my FRFR speaker and 1/4" Output 1 Left to a DI (if needed) and into the snake or the board. I'm pretty sure this can be done.

:) Driftwood? Dagwood? What are these cabs made of? haha. Yamaha has a good selling angle on these being one of one 2-3 other "wood" cab FRFR speakers with their power in that K12 price range. You'd think they would exploit that angle. The Mackie HD's and the JBL PRX6's are the only other ones...
