I'd say don't delete yours unless officially asked.

Not being able to mention sales on relevant products here is a weird restriction, one that i doubt has been consistently applied.

You can't advertise something YOU are selling, other than by following the vendor program rules. But mentioning that something you have no connection to is on sale somewhere else is a public service, not exploitation, within limits.

That would mean we can't talk about Black Friday, etc. Can we even mention the price of the new Helix variations?

I want to be very very clear here. I 1,000,000% appreciate and support the exemplary moderation here. As I've said multiple times, this is far and away one of the most civilized, respectful, and helpful corners of the net, in no small measure due to the steady hand provided and encouraged by the moderators.

It just seems to me like this one area could use some clarification, for everyone's benefit.

I posted about a vendor I'm not affiliated with having some refurb items for sale, and my post was deleted, because you can't post about stuff for sale on this forum, like at all.

I’ve seen plenty of posts linking miscellaneous gadgets etc from Amazon or other vendors that don’t get pulled. On the gear sales from what I recall there was some fraudulent activity happening which is the reason the sales forum was scrapped. Damn scammers.
