What guitar are you playing today?

Vol+tone per pickup I assume?
Yup.

What are the combinations for the Freeway?
Bottom row is standard Gibson, N NB B.
Top row is the middle pickup combos, NM M MB.

That's everything possible except all 3 pickups, which I've had on other guitars and don't care much about, leaving aside splits, phase, etc. Really like that this is just one switch - get anywhere from anywhere with one action

Today I'm re-recording a song I wrote back in 2002. I'm using these guitars to do it.

My new (to me) Gibson Midtown Standard P90. Positively surprised by Guitar Center on this one, since it came from a remote location and I only had their usual crappy pictures to go by. It has a few chips on the back that I could mostly tell from their pictures. The S/N and the "Made in USA" on the back are barely decipherable, so I emailed Gibson for more info.

Cool!
Never heard of that model.
Is it as thin as it looks?

It's about as thick as a Les Paul. From what I read, it was a bit of a cheap version of their ES line, just hollowed out the side portions of the mahogany body (center is still solid) and slapped on a flat piece of maple top. It's not acoustically louder than a solid body.

Harley Benton knockoff PRS lefty I got used (Rare to see around here) for $249Cdn ($177US) incl setup. No blemishes, bound meranti?? body/neck, SS frets, Wilkinson bridge, noname tuners, split coil switch, Jatoba? fingerboard graphite nut, Made In Indonesia. Roswell pups. feels/sounds/looks good, no buzzing, stays in tune. A keeper methinks.

This was made years ago, as an exercise in assembling a Chinese kit and making playable. Hint: don’t bother, everything apart from the wood had to be replaced. Even the frets were in the wrong places. It’s easier to start from raw timber. Anyway, today I dusted it off for our rehearsal.

How's that HB 12 string?

I've had two Rick 12s, solid and semi hollow.

Kind of miss having one, even if they're something of a one trick pony, but they're stupid money at this point.

I like it! The biggest point in favor is that the neck width is 1 7/8" - wider and more comfortable for chording than a Ric. I actually bought it because I was playing in a Beatles tribute and they had a Ric 12 and I had a bad time trying to play it due to the neck width (1.6" IIRC).

The bridge isn't great, but it's good enough. Holds tuning pretty well and the pickups sound pretty good.

Cool.
100% on Rick necks, it's weird they do that.
Do they still?
Probably.
