I think you're right. If it exposes his proprietary intellectual property, he can't do it without risking the company. Which means even if it's doable technically, he can't do it.
 
Meanwhile...
I just spent some time again (it's been a while) messing around with the Spring Rev sim in the Rev Block (pre-Amp Block of course) and it sounds pretty damn good as is.
If I was A/Bing it with a real Fender amp I could probably find a few niggles if I really wanted to but I'd have to really want to.
And of course the Axe's implementation and routing possibilities are just so superior.
Please forget I even opened my mouth.
