I use the ToneX as the amp. Got it since the day it was released use it every day, never updated it from stock.
Transparent, great pedal. The other day I used two real 12" Fender tube amps in stereo, then immediately replaced the amps with two
Yamaha HS5 with the toneX set on top of the amps, to A/B. Couldn't tell a difference.
Between Fractal VP4, Aeros Gold Looper, and ToneX, really top shelf effects and pedals.

I should also mention when I had the Fractal FM3, I did a blind test between it and a Fender tube amp, back turned to them
Bose speaker as the monitor for the FM3, couldn't tell a difference there either. Though theoretically I would prefer an analog
tube amp and sound, sonically none of this matters...

Mine is pretty simple - mounted on a temple board 4CM to an original Mesa Mark IIC+. Red switch is for the channel switching. Couldn't be happier

Curious, are you switching between rhythm and lead channels with the red switch and just managing your effects presets with the VP4? I have an original Mark IIC+ and wanted to use the VP4 but it does not have a relay for channel switching which is making it difficult for me to consider. Are you running the VP4 effects through the MK II's effects loop, front, or 4 cable and how does it sound with the Mark IIC+? I have an FM9 and an AX8.
 
I'm not on the forum regularly, so I may have missed something.
Wasn't there a VP4 rig thread before?
There were some very nice tidy rigs on there.

And I know I posted my board back then, but now can't find it. Maybe search pilot error?

I, too, remember seeing such thread (called something like "Owners show their VP4 rigs"). I can't find it now.

Apparently I'm not the only one that remembers a VP4 rig thread that was started several months ago, when these units first started shipping. Apparently you and uh... brockstar only know about one started 3 weeks ago.

I searched on my posts for my profile and can no longer find it. Which is why I asked.
It had LOTS more than the 2 pages you know about. thx
