Show us your VP4 pedalboard / rig!

New 4CM build day. Luckily I had everything on hand. The only think I had to go get was the floor tile.

Mesa Badlander 25
Custom BFG 2x12 with DV77s
VP4 slice of heaven
MC6 Pro midi controller
Zuul+ noise gate
Moog EP-3 expression pedal
Shure GLX16D wireless
Cioks DC7
Temple Audio Solo 18

This is just for home so its kinda overkill but it's small and fun. Right now I have the VP4 set to show effects mode as a default. The MC6 has 4 buttons programmed to select VP4 scenes, one button to change channels on the amp, and one button to scroll through presets (press for +1, hold for -1; useful for scrolling through factory presets, all of which I've converted to use 4CM).

The Zuul saves me a block and I had the extra space on the board so I figured I'd use it. The noise gate section is in the amp's loop and before the VP4's post effects. The Zuul gets "key input" from the wireless and sends that signal to the VP4.

I put a stick-on vinyl floor tile on top of the Solo 18 and used a Dremel to cut out just the holes I wanted to use. It just makes for a cleaner look imo. The board has a 4X Mod on each side. The left side 4X Mod is color coded to the cables from the amp. The power module is also on the left side. The right side 4X Mod is just for the expression pedal. I left the small panel on the right side open. That allows access to the wireless's instrument input in case the wireless transmitter dies.

I like how you used Laminate flooring for the base of the Temple board!

Work in progress, I haven't had the chance to connect my rig into the mixer as usual so the sounds out of the headphone jack on the IR-D is all I can get for now, not very thrilling but I'm getting the hang of it for now. If the drives and distortions are better than what I have on hand (Guv'nor+, Rat Clone, Soldano SLO pedal) I might consider subbing the analog drives for a Digitech The Drop.

Curious why you’re not switching the Mesa from the VP4?
