Post Your Axe-Fx III Rigs Here!

I also have a Studio Pre, how do you have the signal chain routed with the AxeFx 3?

Sometimes I throw it in an effects loop but usually I have it on its own going to a cheap Mooer radar or VST (ggd zilla). I’ve had it for about 20 years so it’s more sentimental than useful at this point. It does rip tho!

I really like the look of those skb roto cases but the always seem to have deformed/warped on the top - pity they dont make them out of a better material. Does the lid fit on it Ok when its warped?

My 3U cases sag a little on top like that, but the lids work fine... I really like the cases because they weigh next to nothing and they stack beautifully - the extrusions on the top fit into the voids on the bottoms.

My little corner of the world.

I use the AxeFX 3 With my Orange RV50 with a 2x12 cab using the 4 cable method, in the same patch I created simulated RV50 with both having identical time based fx loops, simulated amp/cab and effects out to FOH, They sound identical. They both share the same pre signal chain because my guitar is plugged into the AXEFX3 then it’s split, one to the front of the real Orange and the other to the Simulated. Hope this makes sense. I did this for redundancy reasons, if either unit, the real amp or the AX3 fails to work I have an instant back up, they would both have to fail at the same time for the show not to go on, Plus it looks cooler on stage with an amp, let’s be honest. I will say having the AX3 going into and through the real amps FX loop makes it sound amazing!! The best of both worlds, and a killer pedal board to boot (FC-12) and I don’t have to use a mic on the cabinet. Thank you Fractal!!!

Work in progress!
After my move to a new house I will finish this up with angled connectors, some panels in the back and a patchbay for a super clean and smooth set-up!

Been thinking about modding that top panel (now with 2 antennas for my wireless in the rack, Line6 G50) with a on/off power switch (connected to an internal power brick) and perhaps a small a subtle LED to light up the front panels. Love doing that kind of stuff.
