If this has midi in it's an insta buy.
Sitting on the top of my amp and midi switcher next to me.
looks small enough too.
Given the size of the metro 20 looks something like 23cm/9inch by 20cm/7.8inch?
 
What would the purpose of digital I/O be on a guitar-effects only device meant to pair with an amp? I know it's pretty much standard practice for recording interfaces and the bigger FAS bros but that would make sense for a modeller meant to replace an entire signal chain including amps and cabs? Sorry if it's an obvious question.

id assume just leaving the option for a standalone FX unit in a studio environment.
 
This thing will be great with ToneX and Nano Cortex!!!… as it will not have preamp emulation apparently. When you think about it it’s the most future proof FAS product. Still using 20 years old digital effects. Never use more than 4 years old digital preamps.
 
Looks great! 4CM is awesome. I usually play my amp + cab and send an additional signal with a cab sim/IR to FOH. You'd need an additional output that simply isn't there, or am I wrong?

Well, there you go. Hmm... This is going to be interesting.

It's probably going to be ideal for true 4 or 7cm and basic switching control. But, I would probably want to be able to use an FC6.

I keep saying that AX8/FX8 was so wonderful in the way they simplified a virtual pedalboard. The 11 footswitches made it very easy and straightforward to accomplish everything.
 
I'm definitely interested if it's an FX4. I love an analog pedalboard but the addition of a lot of specialized pedals makes them inconvenient. I tried a Boss GT-1000CORE for effects but it ruins the bypass tone. HX stomp is ok but needs a extra switches to be useful and then it's taking up lots of space and it can be underpowered. HX Effects I had issues with the bypass tone and it's big.

Fractal effects (especially reverbs & delays) in a small package sounds awesome. I think of it like an H90 killer.
 
Analog Dry Through? Or at least can I assign 2 stereo effects to 2 stereo in/outs than can be routed to a Parallel Mixer ala H90? I sold my FX8 because of phase issues with W/D/W (mix/dry/mix).

I think that's a Metro 16 and the expression pedal is a Fractal EV2

EDIT: oops, didn't see the last image! Anyway, I'd say the depth is around 16-17 cm

if the output to the guitar preamp is really low (as if i was going from a guitar pedal to a preamp) then this could be a winner for me (as long as it has a cab block) :)
