This or it could be just a regular check to see if the model is WAI.My guess is Cliff was verifying that a new/updated/refined algorithm is doing its thing.
Wazzat? This or it could be just a regular check to see if the model is WAI.
Working As IntendedWazzat?
My time is worth pesos yet I still would rather have a tech do that.Fortunately it didn't leak. The vent hole did it's job.
It was my 2204 which is also a Canadian version. I have a US version as well but the Canadian version sounds better.
I will repair this myself. I have a set of F&Ts on the way. The only thing I don't do is transformer replacements because it takes a lot of time and my time is worth more than it is to pay a tech.
time to get an axe fx, the era of tube amps are overI heard a "phhhhhhhhtttt, snap". Looked over and smoke was coming out of it. B+1 capacitor popped.
I believe that would be the knob labeled Mr. NelsonWhat parameter best replicates the "magic smoke".
Fortunately it didn't leak. The vent hole did it's job.
Good thing it did:
Magic smoke algorithm captured?All fixed.
Good feeling, eh?All fixed.
Ha...using my AxeFx, I didn't even notice it was broken. All fixed.
Over-cooking capacitorsMmmm, I like it when Cliff starts digging out his amps from storage, it means he is cooking something up!!
