Looks like you can change your P2 SSD easily take it to 1TB for a little over $100.00 https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/MacBook+Pro+13-Inch+Retina+Display+Late+2013+SSD+Replacement/26811My 2013? Macbook pro is filled up (128gb hd) but runs reasonably well. I could probably clean it up lol

I can't think of any reason a 4 year old laptop should be having problems aside from just getting cluttered with shit from people going to websites they shouldn't (mostly).
That is a Boogeyman myth to frighten children. I have a second home at the Deep Dark Web, and my computer is a rocket
Use prophylacticsSo you don't think anyone picks up malware from websites. Okay.
No, you’re mostly right! MS has made a complete mess of Windows (as if it was ever perfect) The pushed updates and combining a mobile OS with a desktop/workstation OS is a big mistake. I just got a Laptop after not building a Windows power PC in a long time. I was squeezing everything out of the old one and using an iPad for a ton of stuff in the past year or more. I went for a Windows laptop because I couldn’t justify the price of a MBP of equivalent power. That’s my only gripe about Apple. Too $$$. I use to be an Apple hater, but came around with their mobile devices. I was always an intel CPU and chipset with separate Nvidia graphics. No AMD. Things have changed a great deal in the last 10 years and one of the reasons I didn’t build a new desktop was I didn’t have the time to research what was the best and where was the sweet spot price wise. This Lenovo Legion Laptop I got is a great system at a good price. It’s a shame what has happened to the personal computing world.2013 MacBook Pro I7 still kicking a$$.
it’s used every single day, with original parts, no crashes or data corruption. Running Logic and final cut , so it gets a workout.
I could not deal with another Microshaft computer. They push updates to programs that make others crash etc. It’s a shit show.
sorry to anyone that loves them, I know I used too. Now I open the lid, get to work, close the lid, and always have a productive day
Those must be some heavy duty condoms!!Use prophylactics
Still have an issue with lack of choices of hardware and software compatibility. Not as a big a deal as earlier. I didn’t have another $1200+ to spare. That’s what I was looking at for an equivalent Mac. Also, as mentioned I‘ve had to service my share of Macs. Software, OS and hardware.I used Windows laptops for years. Usually refreshing after about 3 when they became unusable.
Around 2006 I went to Mac. Since then I've owned 3 of them. The old one still runs. My MacBook Pro runs flawlessly for the last 3 years, and I'll get at least 2 more before I refresh, and perhaps relegate this one to a dedicated recording box.
More expensive, but you spend less in the end. And the maintenance is nonexistent.
IMO.
Not trying to bash anything, just telling the truth.Funny how this thread turned into a windows bashing thread, did you intend to post over here? https://forum.fractalaudio.com/threads/f-microsoft.163596/page-10#post-2108078 Ive reimaged a fair share of apple PC in my day for what its worth...

You should take a look at the new Apple Silicon macs. For some reason, geekbench doesn't list them but, if they did, they'd have to top slot on single processor scores.Still have an issue with lack of choices of hardware and software compatibility. Having said all that, if money was no issue I would get a $54,000 maxed out Mac Pro!
