Let's see those FM9 rigs!

Getting in a bit of practice in my hotel room this evening…..5028C139-39FE-423A-9F68-8D6A87AF7A36.jpeg
FM9 and a couple of Mission expression pedals on top of a Temple Duo 34, Shure QLXD wireless underneath (just fits, pretty tight but doable, the antennas on top). My guitar of choice this evening is my Fernandes Dragonfly Elite. Laptop connected via USB and my in-ears or headphones directly on the headphone out.

Hi guys,

I hope you are all well. Finally got my FM9 rig all setup! I'm using mine in a couple of ways. If I'm doing a small one off gig or I don't want to take it all to rehearsal, I'll take the FM9 and use Sukh's (Zenrigs) X Board with my EV-2 and Mission pedals on. All mounted on a Temple Audio Duo 24.

I'll also use the FM9 like I do the my Axe III and stick it behind me on top of my Mission Gemini 2 cab. I then run my FC12 board in front of me. I like having both options. My FC12 board is also mounted on a Temple Audio Duo 34. You've all seen my FC12 board no doubt. All using Zenrigs protection system.

Enjoy!

Paul

Tell us about that guitar??
It’s 2009 PRS SE from the days when they had a completely flat top and really not very much like their American counterparts.
It had been hanging on my wall for a few years with no electronics and I was using it for Fishman Triple play stuff.
I really like the neck, it‘s a “Wide Fat” which I believe is the same as a “Pattern” neck these days.

Got a Seymour Duncan JB off eBay half the price of a new one and managed to cut out a pickup hole from a black strat faceplate to get the Dimarzio Cruiser to sit in there neatly.
It’s my go to guitar now.

I like this a lot

Still work in progress, as I'm going to add a couple more things to the board soon... but here you go:

IMG_20221014_003406.jpg

The board is a Rockboard Quad 4.2, the 3 knobs you see underneath belong to a TC Helicon C1 which I use as a mic preamp and pitch correction for my voice, it is powered from the Faslink connector and its output goes to FM9's input 2 for further processing.

Very clean! What "rubber rings" are in those holes? You cut them, right? Any tipps on how to do that? :)
I need to pass two IEC cables through my board and I'm not really comfortable cutting IEC cables :/ ...

Thank you! They are just rubber grommets I bought from Ebay. They come in different sizes! It just depends how big you drill out the hole on the Temple board. I also used some matt black spray paint after I drilled the holes out as well just to cover the bare metal. It doesn't need much though. You'd need a cone drill bit to drill the holes out! You can buy them off of Amazon.

I'm not very good at cutting the IEC cable either. Fortunately on the Temple boards you can unscrew the end caps and I just drilled a tiny hole on the edge of the board where the bigger hole is and the IEC cable fitting in there without me cutting anything. Then I just put the end caps back on and they cover the hole I just drilled out.

I hope that helps.
