AFIII Presets Fremen Presets masterthread (releases, updates etc.)

Third-party preset or preset pack for the Axe-Fx III
I haven’t yet had a chance to upload and try the revised presets. I am an Axe III user. If you provide a document file with the suggested drives and settings, I can easily incorporate it into the presets. May or may not end up using them. If I do I will probably tweak it to my own liking as always do. Thanks for all your efforts. Your presets are great and, like others, have helped me immensely in understanding how to craft my own sounds.

From a business perspective, I would think cater to the largest user base and everyone else can tweak, or adjust with some guidance. If all modeler downloads are roughly the same, then defaulting to what works for the AxeFx III probably makes the most sense since it is the standard bearer.

Thanks guys !

I have bad news : I've been talking, on and off, about my physical issues. These last days, it got to the point that I can't sleep well anymore, because of continuous right shoulder pain. I just did two MRIs, and a surgeon recommended an acromioplasty surgery for me. Anyone has experience with that ? Plus, cons ? I'm told that during the recovery time, which will be 3 months, playing guitar is out of the question - although I do intend on playing with the left hand only, legato style, with a strings dampener. Time to work on those Tom Quayle lessons I purchased but never practiced I guess ;)

Fortunately, I can still do my presets programming work, which is my sole job, using DI tracks. I often use DI tracks for that already, even if I always check the presets afterwards with my guitar :)

Hey man, sucks that you need that, but it's good you'll be getting it done. Wishing you the best! You're a legend, and s pillar of the Fractal community.

And yeah, working on presets using DI tracks you already have is brilliant. Good plan.

Thanks guys !

Sending good energy for a perfect resolution on your medicals! If I find any disposable income, I will pick up some more of your packs ;~)) Thanks for all you offer to the Fractal community!!

Ugh, sorry brother. Good to get it done now though and out of the way, chronic lack of sleep is horrible. I need a hip replacement, been pushing it until I absolutely can't stand it anymore while under pain management, I'm about at that point where I need to do it too, lack of sleep is really making life unpleasant. I'll keep you in my prayers brother.

On a more positive note, I did bring my AxeFx II XL+ out of a 3+ year hiatus (went into the front room rack when I bought the III) and just so happens that was me that bought your AxeFx II Megapack last night! I spent the day setting it up with your 5-scenes and Metal packs,, man that is a treasure trove of tone!!! Saved me SO much time and sounds SOOO good! I was just getting to the Freman's Picks pack and sorting those amazing PF presets when I thought I'd take a break, come out and leave you some feedback, and now this shoulder news right there front and center.

So sorry brother, but I had to tell ya again how much I appreciate your work, that megapack represents an entire era of brilliant, hard work, and my AxeFx II XL+ sounds absolutely amazing today because of it.

Get that surgery man, put it behind you and get some rest, we're all pullin' for ya! Thanks for all ya do man!

I'm sorry to hear of your troubles, Thibault. At least it's arthroscopic surgery, which usually has quicker recovery.

Sorry to hear of the medical issues and recovery time; but I do like your attitude about the opportunity to practice legato playing! Hoping all goes well with the procedure, and that your recovery goes as quickly and fully as possible.

Thanks guys !

I had surgery to repair three big tears in my right rotator cuff last year. I found that even with my arm in a sling, I could still play guitar. You might be surprised how quick you can get back to it.

All the best and wishing health and recovery. I did try to buy a couple of your packs earlier but was unable to add anything to cart, maybe just me?

Thank you guys! Just a heads-up, I saw another surgeon for a second advice, we're waiting for some blood test results sent in France - we can't test everything here in Mauritius - before going forward with the surgery. It will take three weeks, and in the meantime, I can still play, but I have to take lot of painkillers. Getting old s*cks :)

Wishing all the best to you @fremen they had me doing therapy the day after my surgery. If they do the pain block ( you want the pain block) your arm will be numb for a couple of days and you should start therapy the day after surgery which is a good thing.
Wish you all the best…

Good luck mate! Looking forward to hearing stories of how you're so glad you had the surgery, and how much better it is!

T, I've had my Rt Shoulder rotator repaired twice, now I'm dealing with severe bursitis. Add the 2 thumb joint replacement surgeries 3 years apart starting in 2021.
I've had more than enough reasons to give up guitar and working out, yet somehow though stubborness and hard work. I still do both.
Keep the faith and yes getting old suck b*llz!

Best of luck, man you need a break with everything you've gone through over the years I've followed you.

Thanks guys ! In French there's a saying, "les emmerdes ça vole en escadrille" ("Trouble flies in squadrons"), and I can confirm it right now, I just had a wisdom tooth pulled, lol... I just start physiotherapy sessions, but because of that, I have to avoid the exercises until tomorrow. Sigh...

I rarely offer sales in my store but I have to right now, because, medical bills ;) Use this code for a 40% discount (valid for three or four packs minimum, depending on their value) : Axe_40
