FM9 Firmware Version 11.0

I wanted to report the earlier bug seems to just have resolved itself. After none of the face buttons working, and the inability to connect to the editor, and after three reboots, I just let it be overnight.

When I came back to the unit the following afternoon, and booted it on for the first time since the following day, it all just worked.

No idea what happened or how it is now fixed, but all seems well.

It seems to be a bug.
Switching the metronome on/off via MIDI CC is not working.
When is set it up using FM9-Edit or with auth configure on the device the wright CC channel is registerd, but sending CC mit 0 or 127 ist not working. Linking the same CC-message to tuner is working fine.

I had something similar happen. At a gig sound check my FM9 decided to boot but not load my layout at all and not have any buttons work at all. All just blank white screens.

Had to reboot my FM9 like 4-5 times for it to finally load. Scariest moment of my life recently haha.

NGL as a hw/embedded designer that’s never the kind of behavior I want to see happen then go away without user intervention. All that tells me is it’s going to happen again when I least want it to. Best case there was some weird wall power noise going on at the time. 🤞

After playing (and enjoying) around with FW 11 I noticed that the level controls in the cab block are not working. No matter on how I set the level there no change in volume at all. Rebooting does not help. Anybody else?

The Level control is relative. If you only have one cab active the control does nothing. This has been covered before, do a search.

I confirmed it, it looks like a bug. I made a video while testing it on beta 2, but it's the same on the final release.

This happened to me this morning as well. Reboot fixed it.

any more details of what was going on when this happened? The more you can provide, the better the chance of resolution.
Same as what others have reported: the FM9 boots up and all the scribble strips are blank. The main screen still shows preset information. I'll admit I did't try any switches, I just jumped right to rebooting, which fixed the issue.

Hello, I don't know if this question has already been resolved, do you know how the metronome (on-off) can be assigned to one of the foot switches? thank you

Back to report that the face buttons on my FM9 Mk 1 Turbo do not work on this update.

Everything was working fine about an hour ago. I turned off the unit. I turned it back on now and the big dial, the small dial knobs, and the face buttons do cause any actions to occur. I just turned it off twice and back on and the problem persists.

Switches work and its producing audio. Sounds brilliant, but this update is no fun. :(

Sounds like you might have a loose ribbon cable inside. It’s not likely that it’s related to this firmware, as it was running fine before you turned it off.

I updated my Mk2 and my MK 1 turbo. The MK 2 seems fine. The MK1 Turbo ,the panel buttons didn't work as reported by others. Foot switch 2 also didn't work. I rebooted twice, no improvement. This was at band practice. Got back home, the next day(last Sunday), turned on the unit and it was working (panel buttons and foot switch 2). I will try it again tomorrow.

Only reported by one other person, I think.

However, if it's more than one person then it's likely not a hardware problem...

@Joshua Benton - which model FM9 do you have?

I'm running into an issue relating to clock error, however I don't know if it's specific to firmware 11.0 (I think it might be).

My FM9 is connected to my Scarlett 16i16 via S/PDIF in and out, with the 16i16 configured as the clock source. Restarting the 16i16 with the power switch is no problem, but if I restart my computer while both devices are on, something in the 16i16 reinitializes and I get the CLK ERR message on the FM9. The FM9 is unresponsive after that point and requires a reboot.
