FM3 connections

Hi all! Brand new to Fractal world and super excited. I have a couple of questions regarding connections.

1. Am I right saying I can’t connect my FM3 to an amp with 4 cable method and directly to my studio monitors? Guess I’d have to use an external audio interface with spdif?

2. I wanted to try connecting FM3 to my amp poweramp as on page 33 of the manual, but don’t understand the connection in the picture. Could someone explain that to me?

I guess they are silly questions, but new to this world and here to learn!

1) Connect your guitar to In 1.

2) Connect Out 2 Left to your amp’s effects return.

3) You can also connect Out 2 Right to a second amp for stereo.
