Factory presets v 27.00, Fremen Edition (bank A + bonuses)

Best wishes, and get well SOON!!

I had a similar experience, and the MRI just said I had a small brain, smaller than a blood clot.... so you're doing better than I did...;)

Truthfully, though, medical advances in the last few years have been phenomenal, never better. On my third cancer relapse myself, now, and I'm amazed at what the medical professionals can do now. Hang in there and get well. We'll miss the tonal updates, but it seems like they're letting you out of the cage enough to still hang out with us, so that's great!

Thanks again for your message, guys !

Thanks ! Unfortunately from me, I'm in Mauritius, a small African country, and the quality of health services here isn't the same, and varies from one area to another - for cardiac stuff, Mauritius health services generally do great, for cancer, it's terrible... I wish I took a health insurance for French expats, like I was told to years ago, it's too late for now (I had to pay way more that what I earn in a month from selling presets, and it's my only work ! I left journalism to do that, my newspaper was dying anyway), but I can do that for future health issues.

I will get back to work tomorrow ! I just checked, I'm on preset 297 now :)

As a fellow cancer survivor (esophageal 2006), we need to keep the Survivor's Club membership up. Losing any member is a loss for us all.
Keep up the fight!

Aye, Yi, Yi...hadn't considered the Mauritius situation; bummer. Hang in there! FWIW, the quality of health care varies greatly here, in the USA, but probably not nearly as much as what you have to deal with. Great that you're getting decent care for the cardiac stuff; I'm not sure if that transfers over to the blood clot in the brain, but that doesn't sound too charming?!?!

You're definitely one of the greats here, and we all look forward to your music, presets, advice, and so much more! We need you, we want you, and we wish you weren't having to deal with this... Even though I lay low, I've been on the forum since nearly the beginning, and you are one of the folks I look forward to hearing from. You're always respectful, and offer insights that have been helpful to MANY of us, since way back. You don't get dragged down into the mud in some of the inane entitlement and "me-me" discussions, and drabble on about things that are irrelevant. Keep your head up, and look to the other side of the tunnel. I'm part of the fremen fan-club and wish you the best.

Praying for you, bro'...

Thanks freemen! Incredibly generous. Especially under the circumstances. Geez, your dedication is admirable. It’s no wonder you got a lot of fans here. I’ll no doubt be checking out your presets for sale and chip in. I’m eager to jump in and see what you’ve done.

You're in for a treat guys ! I just made a factory preset using Steve Vai (one of my absolute heroes) GOT delay settings, and I can't stop playing it on the guitar he signed

The story : I was at Vai Academy and checked Steve's Synergy Vai signature module settings, which is his main tone now. I also have this Synergy module and set it the same way. So I tried to reproduce that tone with the Leggy model (*), and a Marshall 4x12 Dyna-Cab, as Steve uses a Marshall 4x12 speaker on stage. From there, I tweaked by ear, using songs from his last album as reference.
For his clean tone, Steve uses the blue channel of his Synergy module, which is based on a Bassman, so I used a Bassman model for the cleaner scenes. Then I added his GOT blocks for delay, chorus, flanger and multidelay.

I did all the programming using my Ibanez RGR5220. Here's that guitar before he signed it - in fact, it was the first time I got to hear it on an amp, I had just bought it in the Sam Ash booth at the camp !

(*) the original preset was in my Rock & Metal vol. 1 presets pack, using a custom IR ; the factory version I just made is based on it but with a Dyna-Cab and his GOT blocks settings.

Thank you!

What do you mean by a "factory preset"?

I associate that phrase with presets that ship out of the box with the hardware units, which this clearly isn't.

Do you mean it'll be in the next factory presets update? That'd be cool!

Killer tone, with playing that's articulate, in the moment, and aware of its surroundings. Boom like that!
