Axe-Fx III Firmware 31.03 Release

Must still be in the UI because of the lack of new Axe-Edit version, in that case I assume it doesn't matter what it is set to.

Tracking Adjust was removed. If you are using the editor that control will do nothing.

The new Axe Edit version was posted yesterday.
And it was reported in the new Axe-Edit thread that Tracking Adjust was still showing up in the editor... I'm sure there will be a fix soon.

thanks so much Cliff. grateful for you and everyone here in the fractal community who uplifts one another and practices patience. hope everyone's new year is calm and restful
This. I avoid Reddit/ other forums because of the pugnaciousness. I can't count the amount of times I have posted a question as a novice, opinion, casual music stories/ nerd-out stuff, only to say to myself..."oh man, these guys are gonna run me over". Hasn't happened. I've learned, laughed, and grew as a musician with Cliff/ and all of you guys. Pre AFX3mk2/forums, I had no idea why or how boosts worked, or what pre vs power amp distortion was, bias, bright caps/ etc..between the tech notes section and you gentlemen, I have evolved. I mean, I can dial in any Mesa Mark amp now, and it became so easy once you listen to why and how they work. I can't understate how valuable you all have been, it's like walking around with a sack over your head in the dark, and then somebody taking it off and handing you a flashlight. Cliff cares and is blessed and healed through his work, and it passes through all of us. Happy New Year to all of you guys, Cliff/team, and blessings from 2026 onward🙏🙏❤️❤️

Could be possibile to have an autowah already... ready as the volume swell in the wah block? Thanks and Happy new year

Nice improvements with the pitch-shifting. It sounds and tracks better than ever. The arpeggiators sound spectacular and is easier to dial in than ever. Auto-Triggering is a great addition and a time saver for sure. The Virtual Capo seems to have got to the point where I might use it in a pinch if I didn't have time to tune down/up. Latency is down to the point where it doesn't bother me, and the pitch shift artifacts are lower and fewer than any other real-time pitch shifter I have used, at least so far. The quality-of-life improvements with the auto-swell additions is very welcome. The less time tweaking = more time playing :)

So far, no unwanted distortion from the preamp.

This won’t be particularly diagnostic. More later, but I’m having some issues with the pitch/ capo. I need to tinker more to be sure but I’m getting an issue with the high E string whether moving it up or down a 1/2 step. Also changing the chord/note setting isn’t making a diff. I have it first in the chain after input.

Edit: noticing it at D5 of the high e string, approx 587 Hz.

Potential bug

There's a latency problem with the year shifter, it's already 2026 in here but on the other side of the ocean it's still 2025.

Happy new year everyone 🎉

For the Virtual Capo do you folks use Chords all the time, notes all the time or switch in between. As an example of how I use it, I take my guitar from E Standard to E Flat for songs like "Talk Dirty to Me", I would think Chords for the main part of the song is obvious, the solo doesn't have a lot of single notes, and when it does it tends to be bent or fast notes that move to the next quickly. I do have a solo scene so I could change the mode easily, but curious what others are doing?
I have it set to Chords with tracking full up. Digitech Drop deprecated.
