Totally unrelated: I'm in my mid forties and recently I was asked for my ID when playing the lottery to make sure I'm over 18...

Don't say yes cause I figure they need the $ also. I'm 60 and rarely get carded for anything anymore. The sad thing is more women flirt now since they know they are not in danger of anything happening... or is that pity?! :p
 
Great news Cliff! Always love to hear benign! I also had a couple levels of fused vertebrae in C-spine and 3 in my lumbar. As one of my older (at the time) bosses would regularly say during his last year before retiring, which was 25 years ago now. Getting old isn’t for sissies! Boy was he right!

Keep healing up; the gym will wait for you. 👊
 
No, seriously. As a Gilmour tone fan I’ve always struggled with getting something closed to the songs from Division Bell. It’s a crystal clear and punchy tone at the same time with a decent sustain.
Moreover, I use an FM3 which doesn’t have a second upgrade for preamp and amp modeling. Can only guess how it will sound when it gets the last updates. 🔥

I love my amplifiers - would never part with them. I originally owned a Kemper, a Helix, and a Axe FX II+.

This one declaration from FractalAudio, is why the Kemper and Helix are gone, and why I own an Axe FX III, an FM9, and an FM3. I didn't know it at the time, but his company constantly improves the product every bit as much as I enjoy keeping my amps at their peak.

Oh, and I don't have any problems to report with Firmware 31.01 Beta 2.

I wish you a swift recovery – and I know you want to get right back to work – but please take it easy, and pamper yourself for a while.

Tinkering with algorithms is pampering myself.

Let's just say there were quite a few sleepless nights before the biopsy results came in. The initial diagnosis was advanced stage thymoma.

Having come out of surgery this past week with my sense of humor (such as it is) intact, I can thoroughly relate. Those The Man with Two Brains "Somebody get that cat out of here!" references didn't land like I'd intended.

Glad to hear it was benign!. As a big C survivor I wish for all of humanity to not have to go through what it takes to join this club.
Heal up, and don't lose your sense of humor, regardless of the audience.
I'll never forget the thorasic surgeon that removed a portion of my esophagus, shocked his entourage of students, residents, etc, the day of my discharge, when he removed the drain tube that went from my nose into my rearranged digestive system. I mentioned this is like the scarves and Larry in the 3 Stooges, as it seem to never end. This world class surgeon started "woo woo woo"- ing like Curly, much to my delight and the horror of his professional audience. It's something you never forget.

That must have been murder to sit there waiting for the pronouncement from on high. I'm glad you wound up on the safe side of it.

Now it's time to see if there's a market for thyroid meat. You've got a couple of pounds of it sitting in a jar somewhere.

I asked them if I could have the tumor. I said I wanted it in a jar of formaldehyde with the name "Hans Delbruck" on the label. Another joke that went over like an osmium balloon.
