What firmware version did you make the backup on?

Please contact support so we can try to get to the bottom of this.

I tested two system backups made with version 27.03 and 28 and both have the same behavior.
Dear Cliff, for this specific problem should I check with your us support directly or g66?

I’m experiencing the same issue with the FC-12 layout settings. The Setlists & Songs have disappeared, and the Global level has dropped. Additionally, upon every restart, the system loads preset 000 instead of the last one used.

I installed firmware 28.00 after the 28 Beta. I hope my feedback is helpful in identifying the issue and assisting in finding a solution, which I’m sure will be resolved soon. Bye!

With the changes to the Negative Feedback in the Friedman models for firmware 28.00 ..., I wanted to ask about the Neg. Fdbk. in the Plexi 6CA7 model ( I didn't see that one mentioned in your post from Nov. 2022 ) ?

I'm trying to simulate a 100k resistor @ the 4-ohm tap ....

And I'm also curious how I would simulate a 50,K Mid-Pot in the Plexi tonestack instead of a 25,K Mid-Pot ;) ?

Never mind! The issue seems to be solved after downgrading to the beta version, restoring the system backup, and then reinstalling the official release. ;)

The thing is to let your mind go in the moderately quick impro, don’t overthink your playing, remember that you can blow your audience while doing your own beat in your head and to only go back to the original beat to burn their brain . Also the myxolidian scale can be interesting when you hit the third in a7/9m

I have made contact with @sebastos08 in our support forum.

For others, please try testing with the FC disconnected and see if the System settings are still being cleared. Also, please try to note the specific things you are doing between powering on and powering off before the problem occurs.

I’ll keep a note too Matt. After restoring the system settings from the backup, it hasn’t recurred despite several reboots during the day.
 
I updated from 28.00b4 to 28.00 and have not had any of the set list/songs or FC stuff being removed. I do have a bunch of stuff in the set list/songs area and have custom FC layouts. Axe FX III Mk II Turbo with FC12 Mk I. I updated yesterday and have shut down and restarted the FX I think 3 times since then. I also unplug my FC12 each time I shut down.

Running mine using AxeEdit and no FC-12 connected..all systems are normal. Now I’m afraid to connect my FC, but I’ll do so shortly and let you know.

UPDATE...everything is working as expected with or without FC connected on my end

I am on 27.03 and always run backups. I have a Mark 1 and an FC 6.

Has anyone with a Mark 1 and FC 6 experienced any of the reported issues with losing layouts/settings?

I would like to install the new firmware, but I am feeling a little hesitant.

Same setup as you and my layouts are fine after updating to this fw

Hi Matt - I wasn’t using anything in a setlist. I turned on the axe FX on a preset that is not used by any setlist/referenced as a song and system settings and layouts had been wiped.
