It's ideal in the sense of additional parameters not present on the actual amp, not in the sense that the settings themselves are ideal.I have a question and sorry for the ignorance. Just downloaded 25.01. I’m not a preset builder but decided to build some tonight. I’ve noticed that no matter what amp I pick, the ideal tab, all the default knobs seam to be at 12 o’clock for the most part. It makes sense but was wandering if that’s the way it’s supposed to be? Or do I need to reset all amp blocks?
Thanks a bunch.. Wouldn’t make sense to set at ones “ideal”personel preference. It’s all about matching the amp at equal settings. It's ideal in the sense of additional parameters not present on the actual amp, not in the sense that the settings themselves are ideal.
The first thing to learn is how to back up! Then do the update. Both are easily done with Fractal Bot.I guess the first thing I will learn on the morning is how to update!
Its not that the new values are "in place", its that the preset version (behind the scenes) has been updated.FW 25 automatically updates the amp settings for the new algorithms. So the Save light comes on to reflect that the settings have been changed. If you save the preset immediately after loading, the save light will no longer come on for that preset as the new values are already in place.
More accurately put, yes. If the preset was saved with FW 25+, amp settings would not be updated automatically. Its not that the new values are "in place", its that the preset version (behind the scenes) has been updated.
You shouldn't need to, no. It was necessary for FW 25 beta 1, but starting with beta 2, no longer necessary.Noob question! Do I need to perform a "Reset Amp Blocks" after the new FW? And if so, which ones? Just my own presets, or all the factory presets too?
Thank you!!!!You shouldn't need to, no. It was necessary for FW 25 beta 1, but starting with beta 2, no longer necessary.
