Axe-Fx III Firmware 25.01 Release

I have a question and sorry for the ignorance. Just downloaded 25.01. I’m not a preset builder but decided to build some tonight. I’ve noticed that no matter what amp I pick, the ideal tab, all the default knobs seam to be at 12 o’clock for the most part. It makes sense but was wandering if that’s the way it’s supposed to be? Or do I need to reset all amp blocks?
It's ideal in the sense of additional parameters not present on the actual amp, not in the sense that the settings themselves are ideal.

This company is why UA, waves, et al piss me off. Something like the UAD 1176 has been the same code for probably 7-8 years now? So there has been no ability to improve the plugin’s sonics in 8 years. Ok. I know that’s not true because every time I update the axe the damn thing is improved.

I upgraded a few hours ago, and noticed the automatic download was 25.1 - much to my surprise. Thanks for finding and fixing these few issues! I also re-leveled my 16 presets I use for my band, using a decibel meter (kept it to about 87-88 db) for simulated gig Volume. Everything checks out by ear as well, when I switched between presets. I only had a couple of presets to tweak (the ones using the AC 30 type amps, mostly.

So I just went from 24.05 to 25.01 and loving it! I thought I remembered reading something in the beta thread about the save light coming on in all presets but there was some fix for that in another beta? That's what I'm getting now. What was the resolve on that? Maybe a system setting?

FW 25 automatically updates the amp settings for the new algorithms. So the Save light comes on to reflect that the settings have been changed. If you save the preset immediately after loading, the save light will no longer come on for that preset as the new values are already in place.

Noob question! Do I need to perform a "Reset Amp Blocks" after the new FW? And if so, which ones? Just my own presets, or all the factory presets too?

Its not that the new values are "in place", its that the preset version (behind the scenes) has been updated.

You shouldn't need to, no. It was necessary for FW 25 beta 1, but starting with beta 2, no longer necessary.
