Absolutely Dave! You do realize that your "long time to wait" still blows away literally every other modeler in existence, yes?
This has been a long time coming and a feature request for at least a couple years now. FAS is late to the game but they also implemented this very well into their ecosystem. It’s the Apple approach. Let the others develop it, then make it right and do it better.Absolutely Dave!
I usually try the betas, but I decided to wait this time, and boy, was it a long wait!
Earlier this year, out of curiosity, I tried some of the usual suspects, DAW-wise to see if their simulations had improved.
They had, but still couldn't touch the Axe.
But whilst trying one, I thought 'could Fractal not implement that, because it's so common now? The ability to move a virtual microphone?'
I thought of suggesting it, but left it.
Imagine my surprise when Cliff started working on this.
When Fractal does something it's like Cliff is a heavily muscled wrestler in a bar watching handbags at dawn, gets up from his bar stool and says, 'hold my beer.'
So I'd like to thank the Fractal team for all their work. And to this day, I still enjoy the improvements made to the modulation effects, even though it was a good while ago.

Curious to see how these are loaded…Now I just cannot wait for the Dyna Cab Packs. I mean, it's funny, because you don't need anything else really, but when I think of the possibilities...this is true GAS. I hope someone captures an actual 5150 cab with Sheffield speakers at some point.![]()

Plz no
Give me a moment man. With 20+ cabs, 4 mics, 4 mixer slots and thousands of mic positions, it’s going to take me a long time to go through even the sensible combinations. Now I just cannot wait for the Dyna Cab Packs. Yea man. Definitely a LOT to explore hereGive me a moment man. With 20+ cabs, 4 mics, 4 mixer slots and thousands of mic positions, it’s going to take me a long time to go through even the sensible combinations.
How much CPU did the preset use?My Axe froze up last night during a show: the usual no sound/response, all lights on red. I’ve been running the betas with no issues, and installed this release on Tuesday. I’ll try to recreate and troubleshoot. Over the next few days.
Dyna-cabs tend to use a bit more CPU than the IRs. Make sure you check the utilization before going live! How much CPU did the preset use?
Yes, same here. It seems simple, at first, to set a dynacab, but once you begin to use more cabs at the same time it is not so easy. They are many possibilities already. No hurry here. After all these betas I need to rest a littleGive me a moment man. It could fall under “various other fixes and improvements” OR you could have a different SIC curve, may be getting auto set.Anyone else feeling like there's some compression that wasn't there before? The DC30 EF86 I use all the time doesn't feel as stiff as it did... either my old IR version or the new Dynacab version. I'm also finding the same amp settings are slightly cleaner than before... which doesn't make much sense... more compressed, but cleaner.
I haven't done an A/B with prior FW, but I'm so familiar with the DC30 EF86 that it's obvious to me.
Read the notes in the first post of the thread...Since I installed this version a red "in1 clip" message appears, I don't know how to solve it or if it really affects the input sound, for example if it is distorting too much due to a saturated input.
Thanks!
