Atari/ Gameboy kind of sound with standard?

I like playing video game music and I was wondering how to achieve this. Any pointers?

Hey I'm not alone! I actually haven't tried to do it yet but I think we'd need a bit crusher kind of sound.

Yeah i did a quick google search and looks like bit crusher is key.
I'll have a play around when i have my ultra at home (its at the studio)

you can abuse the reverse delay for ringmod/digital weirdness stuff.

try this as a template and mess with the reverse delay time/crossover etc.

once you get the basic tonality, add a pitchshifter. shift amount linked to the sequencer.

What can I say? I love video game music. Especially the 8 and 16 bit stuff.

Nah they aren't too useful to start with :lol

The little dog just knows how to grumble and run around, the big dog just knows how to high five, and the goldfish just eats. Nothing fantastic there. Anybody know good tricks to teach a dog?
