Anyone use Input Dynamics?

I typically set the input Dynamics to .1 or .5 in most instances.

I've created an algorithm that tightens the bass as you play lower notes

This I would love.

The fact that Cliff calls it an input dynamics processor seems very specific considering that for Output it's actually called "compressor".

I think it's like the "Classic Expander" model in the Gate block, side chained to the Input, when it's >0. And, it seems like it'd be like Mesa's Dyna-Watt technology which makes the amp punchier, but doesn't require adding the Gate block.

I haven't explored that parameter but can see some uses, 'specially in the afore-mentioned amps.

I use input dynamics a lot on clean sounds, when I want them to be warm but not distorting. -1 to max -3. Never found a way to replace them with the dynamics block.
