The fuzzes always were the less impressive drive blocks to me. I've been waiting to see Cliff get those dialed in. That would be sweet.
The Hard Fuzz in the Axe is great. Always been. You just need to dial it in properly. It's a great clean canvas with plenty of potential and it's own vibe. YMMV of course...

I wonder if Cliff learned/discovered anything about presence when he was reworking the Uber?

well i caught a lot of crap about mentioning the uber not sounding like the uber i played, so i hope it was worth it.

I got my Ultra used after the last 9.03 update... so. I'm wondering how drastic the update to the Uber will be...
My concern, is that I have 2 main patches that I LOVE, built off of the Uber... so I am HOPING that the Uber will be an *additional* model ( as in Uber2 )... hoping that it just does not totally destroy my main preset... Love it like it is... heard Mark Day say the same thing... I've also read alot of people that wanted the Uber re-vamped, so I'm HOPING for TWO (2) Uber models...

The Marsha video sounded pretty sick too...

Speaking of fuzz: I saw Them Crooked Vultures tonight. I really need to start using more fuzz and the octave divider effect!

Try the Octave Distortion fuzz in the drive block, use the neck pickup and play at or above the 12th fret. You can try using a slightly overdriven jtm45 for instance. It should get you pretty close to sound in the riff that starts at about 0:50 in Scumbag Blues. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pGp97OVybUM

It so would, I had a funny feeling this morning there would be a new version out today.
I heard a rumour there is a new Marshall model planned and I'm dying to know which one.

I hope like hell it's not a JCM 2000 (DSL/TSL/QSL) which were Jim Marshall's biggest mistake...
I've got a TSL 100 sitting in the corner BEHIND the Ultra rig...lol
I couldn't get out from under that head fast enough once I saw an Ultra being used onstage.

It's definitely not a TSL100. I had one of those and hated it.

Has Cliff told the release date? What are the new added features and amp sims? Shiva Clean & Dirty, Marsha BE & HBE, a Marshall and improved presence modeling?

Can anybody shed more light on this talk of a new Marshall amp sim (in addition to the Marsha). I was hoping it was a silver jubilee.............................................

Actually, I'm fairly certain that he's talking about an octave DOWN octave divider, such as a Boss OC-2 or, you know, the one in the Pitch block in the Axe. ;)

No, it's indeed the pitch up w/fuzz, the old Octavia.

Thanks. I already have the effect ready and available in one of my presets. Just need to use it (more)! :)
The underlying amp tone is indeed quite important.
