Badcat Lynx Tone Match

Is anyone here actually using the same patches for studio AND live use?

I like more gain, more low end and more reverb when playing quietly. The most noticeable issue when I crank up is the bass. I like to leave plenty of sonic spectrum for the kick and bass guitar. So I have copies of all my patches for live use. But I only use 5 patches live (5 amps across the...

Ernie Ball Passive Volume pedal as expression pedal?

I bought an easy expression converter. I couldn't tell the difference between that and the y cable. Waste of $. I'm going to save up to buy a mission next time they go on a b-stock sale.

So what's next?

As others have said, I definitely have more room for improvement in my playing than does this device in functionality. 7.0 sounds fantastic. I don't have a lot of stability issues any more, but if I could wish for 1 thing it might be to implement a better command and control API than Midi...

The cab modeling is just so good... You just have to be real handy with the eq to dial in the sound for different speakers and rooms - thus my comment on the auto eq function. I guess you could buy a driverack, but that seems excessive.

Axe for Lemur ready for beta testers

Scrutinizer, you said a while back that you didn't think the template was at the level to justify purchase of Lemur (just for this). How's it coming? I'm ready to plunk down the cash when this is ready for prime time. Great work! This is a huge add on for the axefx.

Strangest thing... when I assign the envelop filter to the control for the wah block, bypass no longer works. It's just on all the time. Anyone know if that's a bug, or if I'm overlooking something. I can make it do it every time. PS - on 6.02 firmware.

Since 6.0 upgrade, I patches don't switch cleanly

Since I upgraded to 6.0, when I change patches, the sound briefly drops out creating 3 quick stutters. Any ideas what might be causing that?

It's a Sterling st6050. I've really taken a liking to large diaphragm condensers for guitar recording. If you back it up 18" or so, the sound pressure levels don't seem to be as much of an issue and you get the sound of the full cabinet. I always liked condensers for recording guitar cabs...

Clean tones

I've been challenged to find that tone as well. It seems especially difficult to get that class a el84 edge on the leading edge of notes played on the bass strings. I've had my ultra for about 2 weeks, and have tried on my strat, tele & lp. Lots of attack and edge on the treble strings though.
