    I'm trying to install a USB drivers for the Axe-Fx II on my M1 Mac mini with no luck. It says, “Fractal Audio Axe-Fx II USB Driver.pkg” can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software. I'm new to MacOS. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

    As saved is per preset. That’s the way it’s configured now. You just have to put what scene you want it to default to before saving the preset.

    I think it looks great for the functionality that it was design for. But one thing is for sure that it will be easy to spot in other peoples racks especially with the blue led logo. No guessing on what's that mysterious thing in their rack anymore.

    Did you try resetting the amp block (double pressing the bypass button) and then restore your settings back to what they were previously? If that does not work, try a system reset.

    I thought this was strange as well. I set the presence at about 11 o'clock (sounds the best to me at this setting) and go from there. I've never played an Engl Savage (I own an Engl Invader 150) but never heard anyone describe its presence control to behave like the models in the Axe-Fx II.

    I believe you just replace the amp block with the FX loop block in most patches and it should work. Make sure your drive block is placed before FX loop in the grid.

    I was using a Mosvalve 500 before, harsh and lifeless compared to the Engl. I decided to try a tube power amp since I got a good deal on the Engl, glad I did. I haven't tried a matrix yet. The new quantum firmware sounds great direct and through headphones, too.

    I would recommend setting HI RES and LOW RES to zero if using the power amp sim with a tube amp. I believe Cliff also recommend doing this as well but prefered that you run it with the sim off and the sag set to zero.

    I think that assigning the flanger's bypass to a momentary switch would make this a bit easier, less tap dancing involved. Example: Hold down pedal or switch: flanger on, release pedal: flanger off. I would use one of those keyboard sustain pedals to control this.

    You could be experiencing some phasing if they're not panning your left and right channels fully, or summing it to mono due to a mono PA. If I was in your circumstances, I would run mono (left output only) direct to a console minimize any phase issues.
