Beetje centraal in het land is wel makkelijk voor velen qua aanrijtijd. De vorige keer in Utrecht was een prima locatie. Wisseloord daarvoor was geweldig, mede vanwege de historie etc. Maar denk niet dat dat nog eens te realiseren is? Het concept "bakermat van muziek in NL" klinkt op zich goed...

Drive @ 9 o clock, level maxed out, the rest @ default. Put this in front of a 50W plexi, add a phaser and you get (imho) the quintessential Jake E Lee - Bark at the moon thing going.

The Cantrell wah was Yek's. I think it might have been me that made most of the other ones. (A long time ago for one of the "Mother of all"- threads.) Used the spec sheets on the manufacturer's site to get the frequency ranges for the different models.

Compressor settings for country twang/snap?

Not a country player myself. But in general I have the impression regarding country tones that they don't lean on a compressor as much as on a slapback delay (16th notes when using tap tempo). Maybe the combination of both is what gives the "snap" you are referring to?

:oops:Please be gentle.. Very hot here, hardly slept. And not really comfortable recording.:confused: Quick and dirty, one take, warts and all. Guitar used was a Charvel So Cal with stock Dimarzio ToneZone. (Almost too thick for a bridge humbucker.) :relaxed::relaxed:

Curious about using a talk-box like Banshee or Heil w/ Axe II - easy? Idea's?

Another Banshee user here. I use it in the loop as well. Settings: gain very low, tone @ about 9 o'clock, output at 3 or 4 o'clock.

Do a search on Acoustic by Voes. It should turn up a post of him on using a series of youtube vid's about different acoustic guitars. Those clips were a good source for tone matches that you can convert to (user) cabs.

The "mechanics" of said guitar are okay. No issues there. I have been doing some experimenting using GotMetalBoy's advice and did get more clarity out of the pickups that way. Another thing I noticed on presets where I thought the guitar was lacking, the Null mic in the cab block was selected...

I did audition them using Axe Manage. Lots of tweaks (cab block in the HBE preset come to mind) that I liked, I saved as blocks.

FX Loop Question

No problem, welcome aboard. Outputs 1 & 2 don't have to be set the same. As you've found out, output 2 fully clockwise when using that for an FX loop. Output 1 can be set any way it works for you separate from it.

Throw this block for his signature wah in the patch as well. Just remember to change the ext controller settings to get the feel you like from your expression pedal.

Tuning Offsets template

I'm not near my Axe at the moment. But there are various tuning offsets floating around the forums. (Search for Buzz Feiten or Sweetend tunings.) What you want to do is entirely possible. Just remember to turn the offsets on/off when changing guitars. Edit: =61']Tuning offsets search results

I forgot about those. Made them quite some time ago. It's quite simple to do actually. What I did was check the manuals on the manufacturer's website from the various wah's for data regarding minimum and maximum frequencies. Then I adjusted the corresponding parameters in the Axe's wah block...

Petrucci new signature Wah

Have a look in it's manual when that comes online, you'll probably find the sweep frequency range in there. Q is already in the Wah block, tons of EQ options in the Axe to emulate the pedal's EQ section as well. Then adjust your footpedal/controller for feel, and you should be in the ball park.
