Headphones only output

One of the reasons I switched my monitors from Presonus S8's to Adam A7X's. The Adam's have the controls on the front so I can mute/power off while at my workstation and not have to wrestle with in/outs in the rack.

Barefoot buttons

Anyone install the barefoot buttons onto an FC-12 or 6? If so, can you put up some pics? A few questions: Do you need to use the clear acrylic to see the LED ring? Does the FC require skirtless or regular V1 button?

Resonant frequency of a cab

I was looking for an easy cheat to input the resonant frequency when using my SS amp and Friedman cabs. I was just checking out Cooper Carters class and found a way to dial in the resonant frequency using a Synth block to send a tone through the cabs to create resonance. Cool way to find out!

Is the resonant frequency of a cabinet a function of the speaker cabinet alone or also of the room that the cabinet is in? If it is cab only, are resonant frequencies available from the cabinet builders?

I use the BE100 with AxeFx in the loop on other presets. Otherwise I would have to turn off/on the loop between presets.

I figured out the no sound issue. The problem is that I had the effects loop engaged on the BE100 with nothing in the signal chain for the WDW setup. I turned off the effects loop switch and got volume. Chris - is there a way for the amp to see signal from the AxeFx when I set up the WDW...

I will check that tomorrow, but do not think line out would defeat speaker out. The level setting for input 2 defaults to -10, will that effectively mute signal into the Axe III? Do I change level to +4?

For those who place the AxeFx in a workstation, how do you perform your updates? Do you pull the AxeFx out and plug in your USB or do you have a breakout panel with USB attached to the rear of the AxeFx? If you do the latter, where did you get your panel (made or purchase)?

OK, that is what I figured. I am looking for a convenient way to add a stereo backing track (via iPad) into the DXR's wirelessly and was going to use a bluetooth adapter with R-L RCA plugs. I guess that will work into one of the DXR's but not both.

For those running DXR10's in stereo, do you connect via balanced XLR from the AxeFx (2 XLR's from the AxeFx, one to each DXR10), OR do you run one XLR to the first DXR10 and then run Stereo Link mode to the second DXR10?

XLR cables

I ended up getting some nice, yet inexpensive, custom XLR's from Proaudiola.com Grimm TPR cable with Neutrik Gold connectors Nice thing is that you can customize the cable with different colors on the cable, the Neutrik boot or the ring. Cost was the same as the btpa.

I will be getting the Axe III soon and want to get a new set of XLR's for my rack. I need a set of XLR's between the AxeFx and my power amp, any recommendations? Do I need standard mic cable, 2 conductor, 4 conductor, shielded?

I think any estimate based on this thread is wildy speculative. I signed up on 3/10 with the expectation that I might receive it around Labor Day. Patience is not my virtue as I was once on the waitlist for an Analogman King of Tone, and waited 11 months! Sold it in 11 minutes...
