Actually now that I look at it, one guitar's pickups are a little closer to the strings than the other... maybe that's what is causing the issue! That's really the only thing that makes sense to me seeing as they're both the same exact pickups. Which would also be in line with what Chris say...

Good to know! When I increase the input block, it gives it the more output that I need, but it kinda sounds it gets "garbled" or "mushy". I'm probably not explaining this well haha but it doesn't sound quite right. It almost sounds overly compressed and saturated or something.

Fun Shimmery Ambient Patch

Hey fractal-ites, I made this cool ambient/shimmery patch awhile back and want to share it with other users. It's really good to supplement keyboard pad-like effects or add a little extra "grandeur" to bigger parts of a song. Works best with tremolo picking from my experience. Enjoy!

AX8-Edit Causing AX8 to Freeze?

Personally I usually have to cut the bass and add some mids. They don't really cut through a mix in my three guitar band at all by default, but with some slight modifications they sound great.

Former Axe II user here. Did the same thing and haven't looked back. In the process of selling my XL+ W/MFC and rack system for 2k (hint hint). I refuse to buy an Axe III. I'll wait until the floor model comes out. All in one is the way to go!

seriously considering ditching FRFR speaker

I second this. I got the AustinBuddy pack and haven't regretted it. It's the base of every single tone I make, and my tones cut through the mix like a knife and sound authentic. HIGHLY suggest this pack if you aren't a tweaker.

Urgent - can AX8 do convincing and EASY Eb tuning on fly?

Just buy a Digitech Droptune. It's not perfect, but it sounds really good and much better than the one in the Fractal. I recorded an entire album two full steps down with it and you'd never know it was pitch shifted unless you were told.

Axe Edit: "Setup" EQ

I personally use it for a universal Low/High cut across all patches. Typically anything below 100-120 hz should be cut in each patch for live performance as it muddies up the sound due to the Fletcher/Munson effect. I also cut high frequencies above 8000hz to prevent things from sounding too harsh

Help with vintage AC DC tone

I'd recommend starting off with a Plexi amp model with a basketweave cab. Dial it in with low gain. I won't get into specifics for EQ simply because individual guitar/pickup setups are going to sound different, but a Plexi model and a basketweave cab would be a good place to start.

I should also add that the orange cab is a 16 ohm cab and the FR12 runs 300 watts at 8 ohns.

Yes, I run the matrix in stereo mode while on using on channel into a 16 ohm mono cab. Theoretically, with the matrix pushing a max of 120w into a 120w cab, is it even possible to blow the speakers? If i were to turn the output volume of the axe down while turning the volume of the matrix up...

Noob question regarding scenes and presets.

Wow, that is so cool. I knew the Axe FX had some cool feature and good reviews, but that's just OP as hell haha. I was about to order the Behringer FCB1010 and then decided to splurge and get the MFC. Definitely glad I did that. I absolutely cannot wait for this thing to come in.

Is there a way to have the patch set to where the effects are not automatically on so that I can use them on demand? Is there a virtual effects loop that I need to put these effects in?

Thanks for the help! So basically, the reveal button is my best friend in this regard? Also, say I didn't program my preset one scene one clean tone to have a chorus effect. Could I use the programmed stompbox switch to activate a chorus at any time even if it wasn't pre programmed?
