    This is exactly my experience and exactly what I am doing right now. AX8 to GT-1000 to Helix to FM3 and back to the AX8 (which feels most like home and sounds best). Sticking with the AX8 until I can go with a Quad Cortex whenever the AX8 dies.

    I went from the AX8 to the FM3. Couldn't wait to go back to the AX8 (and that is what I did). FM3 sounded incredible but for some reason I just bonded with the AX8 better. Helix was too big and didn't sound nearly as good. Will use this AX8 till it dies I guess!

    Got it worked out using scene controllers and less effects/amp channel changes. There's still a little bit of a pop when going from clean to dirty but it's much better.

    Ahh this makes sense too. Will give it a shot. Except if I ever DON'T use the expression pedal (like with bass) I will need to change this setting so the tuner does mute.

    OK I tried that. I found out what the problem was though. The expression pedal needs to be set to control input not output. So along with the tuner "mute input" this is the best way to have the trails keep going and to avoid a sharp cut-off when using the "heel down" setting for the tuner.

    I just switched over to the DS for my cleans, crunch and lead. Having the same amp for all three really helps keep my tone and levels be the same with all stages of gain. Love it! It can easily pull of Blackface cleans as well as Marshall-type crunch and lead.

    I use my AX8 for acoustic guitar, electric guitar and bass. Bass is awesome with this unit! The compressor, enhancer and even a very slight bit of hall reverb are what I use most. Auto volume swell and delay is good too sometimes.

    I'm still having a hard time with this. The swell is cutting out too early. Gain on controller is up, not sure what's going on. I don't understand the controller enough to really know what's happening. Noise gate is off.
