Axe-Fx III, Matrix GT1000FX, 2 Xitone Passives: WOW!

I use an Axe-Fx II XL+, Matrix Gt1600fx, an Avatar 2x12 FRFR, and a Matrix FRFR 2x12 (passives) while my band mate and fellow guitar player uses an Orange RV50 and 4x12 cab(s). Very happy with this setup and volume & quality of tone - low or loud are not an issue whatsoever.

New super lightweight wireless...

I bought this, hope it works out. Working with both active and passive pickups was a big selling point for me. Price was great (139.00). I switch guitars a lot w/ different tunings and no cables I've been craving awhile. Thanks for the heads up everyone.

Happy with the results. Option to change the horn level is great. Pairs well with my Matrix FR212. Would definitely recommend this as a more affordable yet comparable FRFR solution. The folks at Avatar provide excellent customer service.

Dual Vol/Wah, Q8x, Settings Problem

So, what used to work great as a dual vol/Wah setup with my AXE FX II XL+, MFC-101, and Mission SP-1 seems to be malfunctioning post Quantum 8 install. When setting Wah to External 1 as usual, it doesn't work. When left blank it does work. I still use ext 2 for the switch and that's fine...

Recommended passive speakers...

I like the Accugroove products based on the info I've seen, but they are VERY expensive, particularly for the larger items I was interested in.

Xitone 2x12 might be nice, but they are 1/2 the output wattage of the Matrix 2x12 and almost identical in price.

Yeah, I get it, and they gave me some detail as to why they couldn't do a 4x12 or std 2x12, they designed in the traditional 2x12 box and ported, closed back, speaker placement to result in their version of FRFR. Though I love my Matrix, 2-300 less money for same output in a customizable box...

FracPad Android tablet recommendations?

If you want a great Android tablet, I've had stellar results with my Galaxy Tab S. 2 1/2 years old and still mint. Fast as hell also. It's the best performing computer in my home and I have many (computer tech by trade). I can't speak to FracPad.

FINALLY!!!! A solution to the age old FRFR issue of....

What are the specs? 2x12? 4x12? Power handling RMS and peak? Active and/or Passive? Looks great and I'm interested, but it will have to compete with the Matrix FR212 at minimum, esp. power handling. Thank you!

Metallica tonematch/preset extravaganza Quantum edition Vol.4!!

I got a chance to run through the Kill 'Em All presets yesterday and they're great. I need to 'dirty up' a few of them for my own tastes, but they sound spot on. I have to think the EMGs I use help the match also, but I wonder what others' experiences are with other pickups?

Axe-Fx II "Quantum" Rev 2.04 Firmware Release

The active support of this company is one of the key reasons I chose Fractal Audio over Kemper, though there were several other factors. This stuff is a hobby all on its own and being an informations systems tech makes it a nice match for me personally. Keep up the great work!

If you could buy one cab pack?

I'm new to any additional cab purchases and have to ask a couple of basics: Are they really crucial to your tone above and beyond what comes stock w/ Axe FX II Quantum firmware? As a fan of Mesa head's and other hi-gain setups, which cab pack would give me the best tone for metal?

Do you have these available for share/download somewhere? That clean tone is magnificent! I love the heavy tone, too. Great job. I've been using a tone-match from this thread as my main patch (Mesa Modern Red, etc.) that is filthy good. Would love more to play with, though. Thanks.

Please help with the choice FRFR

I went with a matrix gt-1600fx and FR212 (passive) amp and speaker package and couldn't be happier! Crystal clear, loud enough to drown out un-mic'd drums, etc. I'm very glad I went full FRFR. The tones and cabs the Axe FX 2 Ultra+ I have makes for a very happy guitarist. I did tons of research...

HELP!! Output 1 Clipping With High Gain Patches

Turning down the output level in the amp block(s) seems to affect the tone but is it true that the tone is clearly unaffected by reducing the amp level(s) to eliminate clipping (output 1)?

What's everyone using for their lead tones?

Ordered my first Ax Fx today. I can't wait for this. Can you 'time' effects/scene changes for specified durations ahead of time for during live playing of a song, or is a midi foot controller mandatory for this?
