    Reverse 4CM - humbuster cablers?

Hi Folks, I have a couple weird ways I want to try hooking up my III. 1) Live, I run a 4CM pedalboard with my Mark IV. I'd like to do the same thing at home with my Axe Fx. So i'd run the guitar into my pedalboard, then pedalboard to axe, then loop send from Axe to pedalboard post fx in, then...

DIY for Axe-Fx III Foot Controller

How much does a custom enclosure like that cost from a machine shop? I need one for a project I’m planning and I assumed it would be super expensive so I was going to hack something together myself but if it’s reasonable . . .

    Modern Metal makes me laugh...

I’m 48. I feel like once I give up on new music it will mean I’m old at heart. Check out this shit.

    Channels versus scenes

I understand the design. I can even imagine how we got here and some of the technical reasons why. However, from a user experience perspective I think it is strange, and something that new users clearly have trouble with.

    Channels versus scenes

The thing that is really non-intuitive about the whole system imo is the fact that block parameters are saved at the channel level, but not at the scene level (unless you use a scene modifier). I’m sure there’s a technical reason why, probably having to do with memory and seamless switching...

Can you control a modifier from a different location in the fx chain

Ok good news that the pitch follower is tracking off the input, thanks. I am playing around with mixing sounds based on pitch.

Can you control a modifier from a different location in the fx chain

Is there any way to control a modifier by the audio signal from somewhere other than it's parent block. I want to have an effect late in the chain that has a pitch follower on the mix controlled by the the raw, clean input signal, not the mangled signal at it's location, can anyone think of a...

    PRS Custom 24 input level

Yeah the HFS is a super hot pickup. So great though.

Do you leave a 1U cooling space above your AXE FX III??

No space above mine, no problems leaving it on for hours.

Implemented Number keys to switch scenes

You can switch channels with the ABCD keys which is super handy for comparing settings. I would like to be able to switch scenes with the 1-8 number keys, again really useful for A/Bing setups.

    Wish More Bass Amps

I am primarily a guitar player but yes please more bass amps and bass drive models as well. The B7k is great that’s what I use in my live bass rig. But why no Sansamp Bass Driver DI? That’s a classic, way more so than the more recent B7k. Leon even posted a tone match of it recently, made me...

    Mesa model question

Pull up the mids slider when you are getting lost in the mix esp live. I have a real mark iv and I run the mid eq slider at 0db when I play live. I’ll cut it for home or recording.

Axe-Fx III Recto Models Tips & Tricks

Awesome job Leon, between this and the IIC++ tutorial you are really filling a void. This sounds so much better than the stock Recto presets. I checked them when I got the III and was all "yup, i still hate rectos" but these are sounds I would use!

Correct Use of the RTA Block

I use it to dial in my EQs. Like, if there's a frequency feeding back i can see it as a peak in the RTA and then highlight it to get the specific frequency, to dial out in my eq block.

    Axe-Fx III Firmware Version 1.13

On all the amp models i checked power amp placebo modeling was raised from .90 to .95 and the confirmation bias was lowered significantly.

Is needing a very low input level ok?

Honestly i'm not sure what it was at when i first plugged in. It was pegging so I started turning down.

Is needing a very low input level ok?

Hello, Long time Ultra user, just got a new Axe Fx III. Plugged in for the first time today and trying to set my input level properly. I play a '93 PRS CE-24 with the old school HFS bridge/ VB neck pickup combo. These are early 90s style hot pickups as far as I know, but they are not active...
