I would think that the device getting wet would be anticipated by the designers. Not that it would be a desirable thing, but since it's designed for live use, they know it's going to get used outside and in bars with small stages where moisture is a definite possibility.

I unplugged it shortly after the gig got rained out, dried it off and put it in front of an industrial fan all night. Seems fine.

I cannot figure out to to modify the value of a scene controller in AXE-Edit. I got as far as assigning a scene controller to a modifier on a block, but I cannot find the area in AXE-Edit that allows me to alter the value of the specific modifier of the block in each scene. Can someone please...

AX8 preset switching

You can do that, yes. If you use AX8 Edit, just click the foot switches tab and assign them buttons however you like.

Tips and tricks for using Axe Fx with IEMs

I started using a Haas delay effect on my patches and it really made a difference in they way a perceive my guitar tone. The enhancer block does a similar effect, but I think I prefer just using a dual delay block and setting that up to do the Haas effect.

I just got my ax8 a week and a half ago and its making a clicking noise now

I use a similar set up and I have not seen this issue unless I clip the output by making the patch to loud. How are you connecting the AX8 to the K10?

That's probably because you used a factory preset to start with and the wah has that pedal assigned to it. Go into the wah block and remove the expression pedal or change or turn off the auto engage.

I'd do this by right mouse clicking on the volume modifier (of the volume/pan block) over on the left side of the blocks page and then selecting your expression pedal from the source drop down menu that appears.

Solo using AX8 and the two-stone model

Here's quick 16 bar solo I recorded using one of my favorite Fractal Models, the two-stone. I love the darker voicing of the two-stone for single note lead work. And while it's a darker voice than I'd normally use, the picking definition of the amp is amazing, so it works really well for this...

AX8 edit freezing up

I'm pretty sure this is intentional as to keep the AX8 from constantly glitching while connected via USB. Simply click the message on your computer and AX8 Edit will refresh and resume working as normal.

AX8 connection via USB to AX8Edit

I have encountered a specific condition where the AX8 cannot connect to my computer via USB while Google Chorme is open. If I have the AX8 connected to the USB port and then shut down Google Chrome, then at that point, the AX8 connects just fine. There seems to be a bug with AX8 and Chrome together.

Intermittent AX8 Boot Up Failure

Here is the error message that's output from AX8 Edit when my AX8 locks up. The AX8 itself gets locked at the splash screen with the LED meters pegged. Turning it off and back on again has fixed the issue 100% of the time. After a reboot, the device works as intended.

The Div/13 is a really bass heavy amp, so my first inclination in that scenario would be to reduce the bass. Then once I get that to where I like it, I listen to the brightness and adjust from there. I try adjust the high frequency parameters in my Fractal presets so that they sound smooth and...

I listened to your preset and I think it sounds good but it's bright in comparison to my stuff. I am playing on a PRS Custom 24 and some flat response monitors. Try taking away the bright switch or backing off the bright cap.

Never Mind. I found the issue. For doing the update I had to change "Send realtime sysex" to "none." I just needed to put it back to "all" and now all is back to normal.

I recently updated my Axe-FX II to 14.02 and my MFC-101 Mark III to 3.03 and now when I press the tuner button the display on the MFC-101 only reads, "Waiting for tuner..." The tuner is still active on the Axe-FX II, however. Is this a known issue? Is there a fix for it? Thanks, -Dan
