When trying to dial in an authentic amp tone, how important is the type of reverb you use? I know that Fender's use a spring reverb, and to my ear, a little bit seems necessary to catch that authentic sound. What about other amps with onboard reverb? Is spring the best match for them as well...

Vintage stripped down sounding amps

I really like a stripped down clean and pushing breakup sound. Just tried the Carr Roamer with really nice results. Does anyone have any other recomendations. Axe change seems to be loaded with a lot of heavily effected presets.

V.12 seems to bring out the different dynamics in all of my guitars.
