All four cabs muted. Why do I still hear a quiet sound from the amp block?

No - I’m not saying “What is the current behavior?” - that is as you describe it. I’m talking about the real world, where having all of your cabinets offline/muted, there wouldn’t be any sound to generate an ‘Air’ signal. I submit the behavior is wrong because of that.

Gift of Tone... why only Firmware 21?

Updates are not that 'intelligent'. It's usually just a binary/microcode replacement.

Fantastic! Thanks - cleared things right up. I noted that the Wiki had an error in it (not GLOBAL but FC Setlists/Songs), and the mini manual didn't indicate that the FC-12 received new functionality, nor that it really addressed the FC's at all.

Thanks Cliff. If nothing changes in the firmware, that's a pretty compelling troubleshooting tip. I will try a direct line to the Mac, and do some shuffling of the other ports. Importing Fm 3 patches into Axe FX III mk 2

(Not yet helpful) - why did you do your backup as blocks as opposed to presets? It seems it would be harder to reconstruct the FM3->AXFX3 presets, as you'd need to remember the various blocks used in the preset(s). I'm of the school that backing up presets is best.

    Bug or stupidity (14.00)?

Perhaps the scene philosophy doesn't generally permit drastic parameter changes (too bad), or for that matter, any immersion into the block level parameters. I would actually enjoy the ability to control amp boost from a scene change!!! For now, I do it with a SCENE CONTROLLER.
  58. plyall

    Bug or stupidity (14.00)?

Sorry - meant to respond to this with the last reply... Um.. err... yup it do, if you use SCENE CONTROLLERS. You can tweak pretty much anything you like from SCENE to SCENE. Granted, you only have two SCENE CONTROLLERS, but you can tie them to multiple targets.
  59. plyall

    Bug or stupidity (14.00)?

I agree, but I think there's still room for debate... In effect, scene changes are all about ENGAGE/BYPASS right? IMHO, MUTES are also like an effect bypass in this context (mute speaker A on scene 2, and simultaneously unmute speaker B)? I'm my twisted ex-engineer mind, this makes sense.
  60. plyall

    Bug or stupidity (14.00)?

Good stuff! But let me ask you this - couldn't the CHANNEL change be used to load completely different speakers? That's a big job. The scene change (IMHO) should really be capable of managing cabinet mutes.
  61. plyall

    Bug or stupidity (14.00)?
