Help on midi sync with looper and spillover

Cool workflow. It's very similar to mine with Live/Push/Boomerang -- aside from using the AX8 looper. I've only synced time-based effects and relied on Live and the Boomerang for loops. I'm happy to hear it all "just works", for the most part. As far as the sync slipping when you change...

I currently put my looper(s) i/o on separate mixer channels and route whatever I need to it via the mixer. Without a mixer in your configuration, I would recommend putting it last. Axe -> Looper -> monitors/amp/etc. That's a pretty common configuration. HTH.

Why is Reverb and Delay used in parallel mixed at 100%?

I might add that in parallel, with mix at 100% (wet only, iow), that Input Gain is typically used to control the amount of the effect -- dial *that* to taste. Otherwise, as @iaresee said -- you'll be adding dry signal to the parallel path, increasing your output.

If you have some older presets that you want to keep (<10 I think), you'll need a couple intermediate steps. Always read the release notes -- don't just take the first couple answers you get in the forum, as that may not be the best advice.

    Something's definitly screwed up

Cliff or M@ mentioned this earlier -- you can click on a "dead" spot in the AE3 grid (the black background, so nothing is selected), and the software will stop "using" the Axe. It works. I use the technique in order to use the front panel to save the buffer to different locations.

Stupid question: How do I turn knobs?

Or set it up in System Preferences so that a double tap+hold (not click) emulates click+hold -- much easier that way, imo. You may also want to check the AE3 preferences. I think JUCE has built-in support for linear and/or rotary on their "knob" controls, so you can twist your finger around...

I can't get the looper be in perfect timing

  67. zenkick

I can't get the looper be in perfect timing

This is not true. If the Axe receives MIDI clock over the USB stream or the MIDI in port, it will sync global tempo to it. To the OP, the Looper also has a quantize feature (uses global tempo). See page 73 of the manual. This may be helpful.
