    PA Speakers or FRFR ?

I’m not sure what you’re referring to by “full-range guitar speaker” here, or what the dispersion angles actually are on them. Narrow dispersion is most problematic at higher frequencies, and designers use horns to both improve efficiency and control the dispersion, but it is also affected by...

    PA Speakers or FRFR ?

Virtually all PA speakers and “FRFR speakers” are designed to be full range (well, between about 60Hz and 12kHz, which is fine for guitar). In essence, PA speakers really are the original FRFR speakers. It is not my understanding that most designers build an EQ curve into their designs...

Running 7.0 Beta firmware. I just tried to reproduce the bug that I am certain I wasn't imagining yesterday, but today things are working as expected. Bug? Block bypass/engage not showing on layout when triggered by CS

I ran into this one while trying to create some ways to avoid the "this thing is triggered, but you don't know it" issue I have with the FM9 display when using it live. For example, I have several presets where a Control Switch triggers a couple of different blocks. I had hoped that maybe just...

    Electro-Voice PXM-12MP on its side?

Yes, you can put it on its side, or tilt it a little, or put it on a pole. Dispersion is affected by nearby surfaces as with any speaker, as is the bass response. You may find the pre-set settings (Monitor 1, Monitor 2, etc.) help in those different situations. The one thing I wish it was easier...

Yup, I already use scenes quite a bit. It's the second half of what you're suggesting that I'm trying to do, but I can't figure out how to assign a control switch to a physical switch in a way that does anything. E.g. I can put in the PP#1 slot that I want it to control Control Switch 1, but...

I noticed a bit of resonance at high volume, and I’ve had success dealing with it in other speakers. So I did. Fender FR-12 compared to PXM-12. My experience so far.

It seems to me odd to be comparing these two somewhat different items. The EV is a monitor, has onboard DSP, is designed to be put in any of several use cases. The Fender seems kind of purpose-built to take the place of an amp cabinet, but with "full range." It also has a lot of EQ capability...

Fender FR-12 compared to PXM-12. My experience so far.

I have decent studio monitors (Adam A7s) and PXMs. It is very hard to compare directly, since they serve pretty different purposes: studio monitors are really designed around 85-90dB listening at close range, eliminating room effects to a degree. The PXM doesn’t sound as good there. But turn up...

    Your preferred intonation method.

OK, a couple of things to report: First, I would also generally suggest that you try to use your neck pickup and turn the tone control down all the way when doing intonation. Correct me if I’m wrong, but the Force of a capo shouldn’t affect anything from that fret to the bridge. Cinch it down with as much force as any capo I’m familiar with, and as long as you can still tune the string the rest of the intonation should not be affected.
