This is crucial to their sound, and no one seems to remember this. That album was a 57 and a 421: start here. Pull up the markV...

Best poweramp for Axe III (Goal: LOUDDDDD)

Exactly, it’s stupid. Usually stuff like this doesn’t bother me at all, but this one does big time. Enough that I won’t buy one more than likely and will wait until I can get a 2902. Again, I’ve yet to make an amp worse with a fryette power amp, OR when cranking up its own presence and depth...

Best poweramp for Axe III (Goal: LOUDDDDD)

I guess im in the minority here, I want the fryette power amps flavor, for its flavor. I never pull the mics away. They are always as close as they can get. 818 is dead center, I’ll never move that mic from there either. 57 is inside the “where the cone meets the cap”, on the right side, so much brighter than what people “say” you should do. These cabs have an absolute metric...

I don't agree with that all personally; whatever sounds good, IS good, however you get there. Tone Shaping - Sharp PEQ Cuts

3.3- 3.4K is a pretty common area to do small cuts on high gain guitars, im not surprised you found it annoying. 2.3k is another often too. Correct: 1960 A/B = GT75 speakers 1960 AV/BV = celestion marshall vintage speakers. This is also the original v30 design basically. Marshall has not deviated from it since 1986. Marshall wanted what is now the v30 to be a proprietary speaker of theirs I believe in 86-87, this is what the...

Another 4CM Question. (NOOB!) Also, anyone using RJM products?

Honestly, I never looked at it, but the guys checked it. and stated it was correct. The FX loop was engaged also. It was just this really shrill bright tone, that wasnt loud at all, much like playing through a loud transistor radio! :lol:lol

Another 4CM Question. (NOOB!) Also, anyone using RJM products?

Also, just for reference. When trying to use the 4CM, I tried to narrow down what the problem might be. When trying to diagnose the issue, I took out the effects loop block completely, and put in an amp model, and got no sound at all from what I remember. Just thought I'd throw that out there...

Another 4CM Question. (NOOB!) Also, anyone using RJM products?

Okay, well i FINALLY got to try out the axe fx for the first time tonight!! I was blown away with all of its features, and everything it offered. However, I also ran into some problems: I was really excited to try the 4CM with a boogie Mark IV head that I brought over to try it out with...

Another 4CM Question. (NOOB!) Also, anyone using RJM products?

First question: In regards to using the 4cm with a real amp: What would my route look like if I wanted my guitar amp, with a modeled boost pedal up front? Would it just be as simple as [Drive block] -> (Effects loop) ??? Is it really that simple? I tend to over complicate things, just wanted to...

Question regarding 4CM with amp head, and boost pedal simulations?????

That is freakin nuts. To adjust hte latency, just do what you said in your last post correct? Okay, so what if I wanted to: Use my tube amps preamp (my "core" tone I'll call it) going through one 4x12, and an amp sim going through another 4x12, all via the 4cm and playing at the same...

Question regarding 4CM with amp head, and boost pedal simulations?????

THAT......is freaking amazing!!! (mind = blown) So basically, you are taking your amp heads preamp and inserting it into the axe fxs loop, and when you recall it on a block ( aka, the effects loop block) it will insert your "real" amps preamp, then if I want an amp model, I simply insert...

Question regarding 4CM with amp head, and boost pedal simulations?????

just to be clear...hooked up this way will allow me to: Use the axe fx as a preamp with the VHT's power amp on one patch if I would like, then switch over to another patch and have my natural VHT tone dry just by itself....or with the axe acting as an effects processor such as the gmajor (for...

Question regarding 4CM with amp head, and boost pedal simulations?????

okay whoa holddddd on...in regards to your comment.... "I'd suggest 4CM where the amp's preamp is in the Axe's FX Loop, and the Axe's output feeds your amp's power section. This way you can have FX pre your amp's preamp, post your amp's preamp, and/or use the Axe's amp blocks through your...
