Recording with usb and focusrite

Hi Just bought Focusrite and tried to record in Ableton through usb direct to the PC, but no sound is being recorded. I do manage to record sound in when I switch to to Audiacity. Anyone who knows what settings needed? Regards

Question about axe and footcontroller

I got a standard Axe II. I want to buy a MFC 101 Mark II, but will it suit my Version of Axe II? And will this footcontroller be the right for a Upgrade to Axe II XL in the future? Thanks

Clean sound recording- how to ged rid of noise.

Any idea to fix it? It`s recorded with Les Paul guitar so it sounds very qiuet before the actual playback of the recording.

Recording with monitors vs result on tablets and mobile phones?

Hi I?m quite a newbie on recording guitar. What I`ve experinced now, is that I`m quite satisfied with recording guitar parts over backing tracks. It all sounds fine in my "home studio" ( Audacity, Fractal Axe and normal priced monitors). But these days most People listen to the result on tablets...

At last- managed to get a decent recording of Overture 1928

With ccroyalsenders preset. It was difficult as hell, and I gave up on some parts and details. I used Audacity, have done nothing to it post recording.

I`m surprised that more people don`t try to make great Joe Bonamassa presets?

I`d Guess it`s hard to get an autentic Bonamassa tone? I mean that LP and overdriven tone, but still with that clean element to it.

Issues when using my ground control

When I load presets with wah and the wah block is deactivated, it still works with my wah pedal. Is that the way it should be? And when it is activated and when I change preset on my pedalboard , the tone is strange( like some effect, maybe wah, is on) until I hit the pedal once. Then it`s back...

Anyone got a preset that sounds like this rythm guitar tone?

Piece Of Mind- Iron Maiden rythm tone test

This is Djidoe`s preset. see post in the tonematch section I made a recording with it because I think it sounds spot on with my guitar I used original backing tracks from the master tapes.. This sound just like the Marshall used originally JCM 800

Is page 155 in the manual the only way to connect a expression pedal?

No 4: Do I have to use a external conroller? It that the same as midicontroller?? I have bought the EP-1 and I`m lost. I want to test it with connecting it directly to the axe before trying to set it up with the ground control Step 2d, move the pedal , nothing happens..

Recording of Gary Moore Still Got The Blues with backing track...

Not firmware 6 though.. Anyone knows a way to remove cracks and pops. I`ve tried in Audacity with "click-remover", but they don`t go away. Any ideas. The original backing track don`t have any so it accured somewhere in the process Does the guitar tone sound processed? The lead guitar solos...

I need a guide how to get my new Ground control working

I have done the basic setup, but have no idea what to do next. I don`t know how to check if it`s connected properly.. Are there any guides here? First I just want to control some presets with the buttons on the GC.

Just got the Axe 2 and have a few questions

1. First when I updated to the latest firmware via usb I never reached 100%, just 99%. It never was a failure message on the axe but it said "lost connection" after I had turned off the axe for 5 secornds. But it seems fine so is it? 2. Do you also have to upgrade the presets/banks each time...

Some presets are all fizzy and trebly and some have no sound

Is there a way to fix that? Global setting or should I edit each preset I download? Which setting if so? Some also have no sound at all - How do you organize preset you download here and save to the axe? You overwrite random presets? - It seems that if I change a presets name, it gets the...

Connecting the Axe-Fax to Echo Soundcard and active monitors

I managed to record using 1 xlr ( microphone cables?) from the axe out to the soundcard ( Univers. 1 In) Then to 1/4 jacks cables from soundcard to monitors. Firewire from soundcard to pc and y cable xlr jack ( 1/4 mini) to both monitors. Something wasn`t right and I guess I have the wrong...
