Here's what I am doing: I have an external radial switcher. Chain is Guitar-Axe- switcher- A goes to P.A. - B goes to front of PT50 I have an IA that toggles the amp, cab, and eq sims in the patches. I then use the switcher to go to the amp and use just the effects of that patch into the front...

Yes, that's what I do. 50% with the toe down on the mix control. I will try and mess with the input gain instead. Thanks!

Hey Don! Quick question: when you are copping a recorded sound, do you use any kind of frequency analysis for eq? Some software that shows you the eq curve of the sound?

AXE FX Ultra won't save my ir's

Interestingly, this works. The right click method didn't work at all for me. But, when I use just the cab 1 block. Select the user slot. Then audition the cab i want in that spot. It pulls it in. Then go through the other user slots and audition the cabs. It will overwrite whatever is in the...

Sensaphonics or Ultimate Ears??

I have been using these guys as well since my sensaphonics crapped out on me twice. They have been flawless. My MD has UE's and he loves them but has a cable going bad. Nice thing about fidelity is that the cable comes off so you can easily replace it.

Since I have a pt50, at first blush I'd say the cae3+ feels a little closer although too compressed. I will play with the marsha a bit and see if I can ge it a little "chewier." I am new to the axe, so the learning curve has been steep.

Very cool! I need to experiment with assigning the amp gain to an expression pedal. On a side note: I am using the Marshe BE for a couple songs and it really rolls off nicely with the volume knob. Neck pickup on a strat rolled down quite a bit sounds really good.

I actually have a PT50. It doesn't really sound like those amps. The clean is fender-y, channel 2 is Marshall-ish etc... It really is it's own thing. That John Suhr touch. I guess I should have been more specific. Channel 2 on the PT100. Channel 3 adds a gain stage to channel 2 on mine. Like...

Someone just asked me how to assign shimmer to one IA. Here's my answer: It's a multi delay I got off of a U2 patch someone did. You can copy an effect into a favorite effects folder in the AXE EDIT. Drop it in your patch. Then I assigned it to the IA on the GCP. I suppose I could assign it to...

I have had to sell off my PT50. It would have amazing to have that sound in the axe. Plus I have owned bot of the badgers. They are just great amps. Might as well do the Landau while your at it!

Using a Pod X3L as a midi controller AND....

Can anyone elaborate here a bit. We can control the Axe using a Line 6 X3 Live? We just have to figure out the mapping? Will it see program info like program names from the Axe? Can I use the patch/IA configuration? This is very intriguing!
