It's NOT a Bank function. It's a Preset function in the Presets menu. See page 5 of the Footswitch Functions Guide ;)

Well, Select in Bank is still a Preset function, not a Bank function...
  8. unix-guy

Add FC switch function: "reload current preset"

And to be clear here, I mean it should reload if you don't have 2nd Press set.

Jump to bank of currently active preset?

I can test it later and report back. I think it should work.
  10. unix-guy

Add FC switch function: "reload current preset"

Do you have 2nd Press set on the preset switch? It should reload the preset on its default scene.
  11. unix-guy

Jump to bank of currently active preset?

And if you change layouts and then change back, is it still in the new bank?
  12. unix-guy

Add FC switch function: "reload current preset"

    It should. See this:
  13. unix-guy

Jump to bank of currently active preset?

Wait! If you're in a preset and change to layout of switches using Select Preset in Bank, you will be in the bank where the preset is ;)

Did you also read the Footswitch Functions Guide? That's where the real details are... Sounds like a good wish!

    FM3 Firmware Version 8.00

No. The IR is applied to the signal in the Cab block... If you don't want the IR then adjust your signal path to not route thru it.
  16. unix-guy

    No more layouts or PP's

These batteries when used in the Axe Fx II seem to have a life of 10 years or more. I haven't seen any real reports of needing replacement on the Axe Fx III (which has existed about 6 years) or the FM9 (which is even newer). I wouldn't be concerned about the battery... BUT you should already...

Quite possible he hasn't played one.

Steve Morse, what you can’t do with amp modelers. What do you think?

I like Steve. He's a thoughtful and intelligent guy... But when you're ignorant of what is possible then you can only comment on what you know. I've never played a Kemper but I suspect if he tried Fractal he might change his opinion...

Wish Loading AXE presets. 5 options to help manage exceeding blocks

What you're proposing in #2 isn't possible. The grid shows what's loaded on the hardware. Remember that the editor is a "client" of the physical unit. What's loaded on the hardware must be supported by the hardware, including block instances and CPU consumption.

I'm pretty sure it's a fact, not a point of view... But I've been wrong before ;) Whether the block is on or off or what channel is selected is "outside" the block itself (in the preset/scene settings). In fact, the whole point of scenes is about exactly those settings. And for the record...

    Implemented Global Blocks

You may have corruption in your presets. Wish BIG FONT for BANK targeting with INC DEC (for Setlists and Presets too)

That's not really true. The ability to in some way query the bank size would be needed. Of course, you could hardcore a value into your custom code but that's not what I was asking.

I think the proper trackball can be great. Personally, I recommend a larger ball and preferably one that can be operated with the thumb rather than fingers. Wish Global Blocks on FM3 Still Wishful Thinking?

Yes, as Greg described... And note that it has no relationship to Global Blocks nor would Global Blocks provide a solution for that situation. Global Blocks is a way for presets to "share" block settings, not to place blocks in a preset.
  89. unix-guy

    Default Screen

Nope, it's a persistent setting. The most recent manual is about 18 months old. I think it hasn't been updated since that feature was added. I have a feeling @Admin M@ may have manual updates in the works now that all the devices are close to parity with the recent firmwares.

Can’t turn off a bypass [solved]

To be clear, the Axe Fx supports dual source modifiers. Source 1 is External 1... Only Source 2 is None. Since the Operation is set to Src1 + Src2, then the value of Source 1 is what is in use.
