Question about Axe FX II headphones output audio signal

Ok, finally found the solution to my problem. Simply plugging in my smart phone playing jam tracks into Input 2 on rear and putting an FX Loop block in Axe FX and routing it directly to Output solved all my problems. I knew the Axe FX was sophisticated enough to do something like this! Sweet...

Question about Axe FX II headphones output audio signal

Question; should I select Mic or Line level for my firewire interface? Right now, I have my Axe FX rear output (single/mono) going into my Channel 1 of Mixer via XLR cable. I have 1/4 outs going from mixer to inputs on my firewire interface. Not sure if I should be doing line or mic inputes...

Question about Axe FX II headphones output audio signal

Thanks very much for that....I will take another look. I really think the easiest solution is to simply plug in a second laptop into my mixer and just play my youtube videos on the laptop and feed the laptop audio into the mixer then into my audio interface. For sure this will work.

Question about Axe FX II headphones output audio signal

Hi guys, today I just solved a huge audio problem for me that was vexing me for months. I could not figure out for the life of me how to capture my Axe FX guitar signal AND desktop audio (27 inch imac) and record both audio signals into Quicktime using my Logitech 1080p Pro webcam. I have the...

What is your favorite amp block for classic Marshall plexi?

Curious to know what you guys are using for that old school classic rock tone. I mostly use Friedman blocks but I'd like to get that old school Angus Young tone and so far having a hard time with the Marshall amps. I find most of the Marshalls either too high gain, or too muddy/dark. Yes, I...

Very confused about FX8 Edit v1.6.0

Thanks guys, I appreciate all the replies. I'm sure things will click a lot more as I spend more time with the unit. It's extremely powerful, and hard to get out of the old way of doing things.....

Very confused about FX8 Edit v1.6.0

Hey guys, I find FX8 Edit very confusing, and here is why. I own an Axe FX II and using Axe EDIT is a no brainer. Super easy, everything makes sense. But what I find strange about FX8 Edit is the Effects vs Footswitches tab. To me, it simply makes sense to have the blocks in the Effects tab...

My 2 year review of the Axe FXII....

Well, I just spent an hour writing my review and with a quick absent minded stroke of keyboard I lost it all...F**K !!!!!! So, here are my key points: 1) I've owned most modellers since they came out; from POD v1 to Eleven Rack to Kemper to Axe FX II. Axe FXII is the most POLISHED and...

First Band Rehearsal with the Axe-FX 2 XL+: Lesson learned

Agreed. I was getting "communication timout" errors with my Axe FX and it was a bad USB cable...I didn't know USB cables could go "bad" but apparently they can! In my networking technologies course, I learned to "always check physical first"....you can apply that rule to pretty much anything...

What effects you using in your DAW when recording with Axe FX?

Just curious what the "pros" are doing when they lay an Axe FX track down in your DAW. Here is my setup: Guitar > Axe FX >Logic Pro. Recording direct via USB, using the Axe as my audio interface in Logic. When I record a track into Logic Pro, it sounds good but never as good as hearing...
