Sadly, it's still crashing Logic Pro when trying to use it as an audio interface. Any ideas?
Roll back MacOS. Or get a Focusrite and go analog out.

Actuals I held off on the update because of this thing. Some app kept it from updating automatically and I'm grateful. So I don't actually know if the Focusrite will work with it. Google would know. Anyway, I love just having a couple of XLRs lying on the floor and plug the FM3 in whenever and pull them when I take it out to play. And I always have something in between when I don't have time to set the FM3 up.

What OS ?
There were some issues with Sequoia a fix is coming in next update
I read the last post regarding Sequoia incorrectly. I thought this beta was going to fix this issue. My bad. Hopefully the next one will be out soon. It's very very frustrating not being able to use it as an audio interface and i'm not really keen on rolling back the OS.

"I'm not sure if Apple's new 15.4.1 release contains their changes or not, but it alone does not fix the issue. Our standalone fix is ready, but it is currently tied up with the build that will become the release version of FM3 firmware 10.0. Today we discussed releasing a new public beta with the change so that it can be tested broadly and also allow those who can't downgrade their Macs to continue working. I'll continue to update this thread."

Yeah I have a Focusrite. I might just do that. I was hoping for a totally digital solution which would save analog to digital conversions happening twice that's all.

Which Focusrite do you have? If it has a SPDIF input, then you can have your all digital solution. And will likely have less latency than using usb.

I've been using spdif connections since my ultra days. Works great unless you reamp.

I think you'd be hard pressed to hear our feel a difference in latency.
My Focusrite is the Scarlett 1st gen 6i8 that has spdif so I could try that. It's an oldy and I've been tempted but I really don't think it needs replacing. The new ones have nicer mixer software, I think.
